Chapter 1
Nake Stevenson, my bestfriend, has this little secret. A long time ago, when we were twelve, while having my birthday party he said that he saw this guy. He’s tall with black hair, blue eyes and really looks handsome.
"Hey Naked! So what's with him? He looks familiar though." I said while eating my favorite cake.
"Shut up! Please don’t call me like that! Geez!" he whined. Nake stood beside me while licking his fingers one by one. He just ate some icing from my cake and it’s disgusting, I can count how many bacteria he’s eating right now! Eww!
He only wears undies at this moment and I can clearly see his stomach getting bigger and bigger. Nake is having a soft spot for a hero who’s only wearing underwear while saving people in danger so that’s the reason behind wearing just undies since this is a party meant for dressing up as someone. I can see a lot of kids wearing an obvious character or hero and some of these were Captain America, Spiderman, Ghostface, Fred from the Flinstone, Bubbles of Powerpuff Girls, Lala of Teletubbies and Superman. And there are also these girls who are dressed up like Malibu Barbies but among all these kids only one stands out, this very kid cannot be considered as who but a what, because she’s a wearing a very unique costume. Her hairdress is a foot long which looks like piles of pointy leaves formed in one corner and green threads were at the bottom of it going down with her hair. From the look of it, obviously it’s heavy but since she wears it without any difficulty it must be not that heavy at all. Her yellow knee-length dress’s skirt is full of yellow and orange sequins that form rows of diamond shape with a button inside of each diamond. The upper part of the dress is like fuzzy stripes of green and yellow. She also wears this little yellow doll shoes that made her costume fantastic. Apparently, the girl is dressed up not as whom but as a what. Carmen Zoe Mayers is here as a pineapple!
"Whatever! You always call me by “that” too." emphasizing something else.
This is where our story starts, one cold evening talking about some guy. We always call each other names which surely annoy the both of us. We don’t considered ourselves as bestfriends until that little secret came between us. It has always been the thing that made our friendship stronger.
During that party I noticed Nake was always glancing to that boy and I felt my stomach hurt as I was suppressing a ball of laughter. I just realized something while Nake has his eyes to that boy all evening. Whoever told you that girls has the strongest sixth sense ever is a freakin’ genius. Right at this moment, my sixth sense is surely not failing me and I bet my life on that. Well, more like I bet Nake’s life on that. Seeing that he would not have a very bright future after what I have decided to do for him!
Ever since I knew this world where we live and breathe oxygen gas and exhale carbon dioxide causing the uneven rise of temperature on the third planet from the sun, earth, my parents constantly feeds me information about a lot of things.
On the age of 3 while others learn to speak their native languages, I, on the other hand know what and what is the purpose of body system are. For me A, B, C is to nucleus, mitochondria and cytoplasm. While 1, 2, 3 is to digestion, respiration and excretion. Mom and dad is to Marie Curie and Robert Hooke. On the age of 7 where most of the kids play outside and having fun I choose to imprison myself in my room and observe Guina, pronounced as GEENA. She’s been my friend until Nake came to my life. Feeding Guina isn’t that easy because I need to pile up all the coco pop, pop tart, cabbages and milk for her to be satisfied. I do talk to her like she’s my sister but yet she never replied to me even once and it’s kind of disappointing but at least she never talked to Nake too. Talking about Guina made me laugh because she never did talk to anyone. What a LONER! 2 years later when my father took me to his job, I realized that mixing stuffs with sparkling colors is surely fun. But these stuffs are what we call “chemicals”. And the basic rule in making solutions is “like dissolves like”. Polar solvents dissolve polar solutes while non-polar solvent dissolves non-polar solute.
I always thought that growing around such kind of things will be enough but I have been craving for more every morning when I wake up. Talking about sixth-sense, I have seen this documentary brought by my mom. People there talked about afterlives and something about our subconscious constantly showing us flashbacks of what we do back in those old days. Well, how should I know if it’s true? I better ask my dad.
