Bleeding Truth

A night to remember

A wonderful time of the year

Christmas in the air and holiday giving cheer

Couples cuddle

Families Snuggle

A night to remember that Jesus Christ was born!

Tiger, Tiger

Old and grey

Aren’t you supposed to be bold and brave?

With a fiery orange coat and midnight black stripes

Powerful muscles and sparkling eyes

With mysterious ties

And muscular strides

Careless ways and heartbreaking goodbyes

Tiger, Tiger old and grey why did you have to pass away?

Caged heart

My heart is caged

I long to set it free

But the key is buried in the past from me

Somewhere in the soil under an Indian tree

I wait for my savior to set me free

But the questions won’t leave me alone

Leaving me to wonder if my caged heart will ever be free?

Abandoned

On the steps of an Indian orphanage

Lays a baby girl wrapped in cloth

Feeling the sudden whole in her heart

She tries to sway sideways but to no avail

So she wails till a staff member steps out

Looks down into her deep brown eyes, so innocent

And as she picks the baby girl up

She cradles her, singing an Indian lullaby

As the baby calms down

The staff member brings her into the orphanage

And takes care of her naming her Soundarya

The girl finally feels loved

But to this day she still wonders

Who wrapped her in cloth and abandoned her?

Fire Fire

Fire Fire burning bright

Gleaming in this cold dark night

Red flames lick the sky

Kissing the frigid night with a sigh

Burning embers warm September

Surrounding me with warmth and comfort

Fire Fire burning bright thanks for keeping safe at night

Alpha wolf

Alpha wolf why are you weak?

Aren’t you supposed strong and lean

Leading your pack through new green leaves

Not hunkered down admitting to defeat

You need to be protecting your pack, teeth bared

Alpha wolf how can you dare to leave your pack withered and weak

Knowing that winter’s end is at its peak

So you cower in the shadows a few minutes longer

Then walk away tail between your legs

Leaving us to see your cowardly face no longer.

Majestic Beast

Majestic Beast with eyes so fine

You prowl through the forest

During the winter time

Seeking shelter from the snow

Waiting out in the cold

Looking for a place to call home

You finally find a ledge

Big enough to fit your head

So you lift your sparkly black muzzle to the starry night

Singing your mournful songs of goodbye.

Mother and Pups

Mother and pups snuggle up

Brothers and sisters groom each other

Drinking their mother’s sweet milk

Needing the mother’s silk fur

A father so proud of his four cubs

Yet still sore from the fight for his life

Mother and Father lift their heads to the sky singing about their wonderful pups

And the rest of the pack joins in singing of the great gift from up above.

Frisian Horse

Friesian horse wild and free

Galloping trough the cold dark trees

In search of her beloved colt

Who used to frolic beside her in the cold

But now as her beautiful black mane dances in the wind

She wonders if she’s lost him again

Confused Feelings

He glances my way I don’t know what to say

He looks away with disappointment in his eyes

I don’t know why he would like someone like I

Being a popular guy

Having all the girls flock around him as he walks by

Still leaving me to wonder why

Gnaw wolf

Bitten, thrown around, and basically starved

You hold you head high

Strait to the sky

Hoping that your ancestors won’t pass you by

So you continue to be starved and gnaw records on bones

And as you carve you keep wondering if all homes are like this

Till the day comes that you win the gnawing contest

And now you know all the suffering will cease

As you’re respected as a wolf of the great watch

Amber eyes

As gold as time

Blazing through the African night

Looking for a sweet soft lullaby

To sooth her sad soul

Yet she still hasn’t filled the hole

So until she knows she’ll keep

Searching the wide open road

 The Big Five

Fighting to survive everyday life

Not knowing when the killing will cease

Yet they don’t hunker down in defeat

They stand proud and tall

Not cowering in fear at all

They are the Cape buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Lion, and Leopard

The most courageous of all

Arctic Fox

As white as the glistening snow

So brave so bold

Out in the arctic cold

Digging for shelter with your mate by your side

Guiding your paws in the cold dark night

Finally relief floods you when you make a cozy den

Big enough for your pups and him

So you to snuggle up

Waiting for your cubs to be born
