Why Me?- Ch1

Ray 's P.O.V 

" Ray ! You need to come pick up your son ! I'm goin to club Envy tonight! " Kia screamed. Why .. Oh why did I ever mess with her ?

" Why are you always goin out? You know, I'd like to have fun too.." I said speaking into the phone.

" Listen! It's my birthday an-"

I cut her off. I really didn't feel like talking to her. She's really annoying. She's ghetto & obnoxious.

" Ok.. What ever. Just make sure his bags are packed and he's dressed." I said in frustration.

Kia is really irresponsible. I have to tell her things twice just so she could get it right.

Kia was my girlfriend for a month. I met her at a club & then there was a date .. Etc. When she told me she was pregnant , I was in shock, I thought she was just trying to get me back because we had broken up the week before. But then 8 months later , we had our son Ray Jr. But I call him Jr. He's 1 years old now but pretty smart.

I pulled up at her house and seen a red Cadillac sitting in her drive way. I knew it couldn't have been hers because she couldn't even afford a Cadillac. It was probably one of her " friends ".

I got out the car and pressed the lock on the keypad twice. She lived in a suspicious neighborhood so I had to be careful. I knocked on her door and smelled weed. There was also loud music , I need to get my son out of here.

"Hey Ray , He's in his room" Kia said. I could tell she was in the middle of curling her hair. As we were walking to the back , I seen a man on the couch smoking. He gave a mean look but I ignored it.

We went to his room and I picked him up. " Why the HELL do you have my son inhaling this shit and who the HELL is that ?!" I said in loud whisper. " Now Ray, don't even trip. And that person is Jay. He's going to be staying with me." she said while texting someone.

I shook my head and took my son to the car. I buckled him into his car seat. I looked in his bag and seen she only packed him 5 diapers and 3 pairs of clothes. Thank GOD I had more diapers and clothes for him at home.

We got to my house and he started to wake up. "Hey lil man , did you sleep good ?" I asked. " No.. I had a dwream that mommys boyfriend hit her again. Daddy he's a monster" he said with tears in his eyes. " What ?.. Okay let's go inside and you can tell daddy all about it." I said. I was shock though.
