As much as she hated it, Sabitha knew she had to go. As much as she didn't want to, Sabitha Tottori knew she had to face the young Earl Ciel Phantomhive himself.

He was nothing but a spoiled little brat that was arrogant and a “know – it – all.” In fact, the only people that could stand him was his Aunt and his fiancé, Elizabeth.

Perhaps Sabitha thought this way because she couldn't – no – she wouldn't admit to herself that she was secretly in love with the Earl. Sure, he was a spoiled brat that was way too serious and hardly ever smiled, but she liked that. She liked his cold, emotionless ways because it reminded her of herself.

But, being Sabitha, she wasn't ever going to admit her feelings for the Ciel. So, she just sat, scowling as she glared out of the window.

“We will be arriving at the Manor in a few moments, My Lady.” Her butler, Chishio, said, watching as Sabitha  tossed a piece of curly, red – black hair over her shoulder. That was always a sign that the girl was cross.

Chishio sighed. “My Lady, I know you are upset with what you must do, but-“

“But what?” Sabitha demanded, turning suddenly to glare at her faithful servant. “’It's the right thing to do?’ Spare me, Chishio. It wasn't my fault to begin with!”

The patient man lowered his eyes. “But, in his eyes it is; it's only fair that you make it up to him – especially on his birthday.”

Sabitha scowled. It was true; the incident wasn't her fault, but Ciel didn't know that. It all began one day at a ball.

People wandered here and there, dancing, speaking, or eating, it was just a normal party, and as usual both Ciel and Sabitha were pressed up against the wall.

“The Wall Flowers” is what people called them. They hardly spoke to any one, and they barely danced with other people; they were as cold as ice and so serious, that some referred to them as the “Twins.”

Sabitha had been watching the cranky Earl from the corner of her eye, finally mustering up the courage (or “finding a way to end her boredom” as she put it) to ask him for a dance.

Of course, this was what he was supposed to be asking, but she was quite a feminist and believed women to be almost as equal as men were.

“Hello,” she began, turning his attention from the wall in front of him to her. “Would you…”

She hesitated waiting to see his reaction, but he barely had one.

“Do I what?” he said, his usual frown still pasted on his lips.

“Do you want to dance?”

He stared at her and stared at her and stared at her, and with every second that they stared at each other, she could feel her cheeks growing in heat.

“Okay, well, if you don't want to you can just say so.” She said, turning her back to him, and before he could respond she walked off.

She didn't walk far, only to the opposite wall where she pressed herself against before looking down at the ground, her cheeks still hot.

“What's wrong with me?” she murmured.

“Oh, but nothing at all, my dear!” a voice boomed over her, and she looked up to see the Viscount Druitt staring down at her through his charming violet eyes. She wasn't in the least bit pleased to see him.

The one thing she hated more than anything we quote, “Ladies' Men.” They were all, in her opinion, snobby, arrogant, and most of the time, quite stupid.
