Matt's picture to the right :D
**********************************************************************
I heard a cry come from the window above me, it was my mom. I looked up to see Matt hanging half out the window, mouthing at me to run.
I smiled at him so he knew I got the message, at that moment I saw a bright yellow car with black detail pull up outside the house. I picked up the suitcase then sprinted to the car without looking back.
I opened the door and threw my suitcase in; I jumped in and landed on one of the backseats.
“Hello ma’am! Where are you heading?” A familiar voice spoke up to me. “Ma’am?” He turned around to look at me.
“Johnny? Why are yo-?” I stopped myself from wasting any more time “Listen, I need you to take me to the nearest airport, I don’t care which one, please?”
“Sure thing” Johnny said with a smile and turned back to his steering wheel.
I saw my mother run out of the house before Johnny had started to leave. Her eyes could kill; anger was pulsing through her body.
“Johnny please, I need you to go now!” I screamed/begged.
“Alright, alright!” He laughed. The car almost immediately left as we sped off to the airport. “So why do you need to go to the airport?”
“I need to get away from my mom. She…well…” I tried to think of a cover story so Johnny, the driver and my brother’s band mate, wouldn’t get paranoid about Matt being hurt.
“We’re just not getting along as well, and she’s kicked me out” I hurried the words out of my mouth to make it seem less ‘fake’.
“Is Matt okay?” He said as if he cared more about him than me. I huffed out a sigh and started to explain everything that had happened, from when my mom used to tie me to the bed and force me lay naked without food or water when I first told her I kissed a guy, up until she almost killed me when I told her I had feelings for one of Matt’s friends.
*20 minutes later*
“Well, Frankie best of luck wherever your heading, and don’t forget to send me a postcard!” Johnny waved me out of the car with a smile and my cab fare. I ran into John Wayne airport and waited 2 hours to get served.
“Next ticket to wherever, please” I asked the obviously perfect woman sitting in front of me.
“Our next flight is to London, and that’ll be $1000.”
“What?!” I screamed “What’s your next flight?” She looked at her screen. Her smile made me want to punch her.
“That’s our last flight today, but we do have one to Ocala, Florida which is leaving at 6am”
“Okay, fine I’ll go to England. Put it on my card.” I handed her the plastic then realised it was my mother’s when she lent it to me to get groceries when she had no money. ‘Should’ve killed me when you had the chance, mother’ I thought to myself as I entered the plane with her credit card.
*15 hours later*
I got off the plane, and when I left the airport I had nowhere to go and I’d never even left America. What am I supposed to do now?
