Vexed and Gifted

                                       Chapter Twelve       

  Logan and I walked back into the kitchen. He made both of us some hot chocolate and we sat on the table just chit chatting and drinking it. Logan had told me I should drink the coco slowly or I was going to burn my tong. I didn’t listen to him and I did actually end up burning my mouth and he laughed at that. Saying I should’ve listened to him. An hour later Dad called everyone to the family room. Nate only made eye contact with me but didn’t talk to me. I was thinking of reading his mind , I guess that would just piss him off more though. So I left it. I broke Nate’s stare and took a seat beside Logan. Zachary walked into the room still shirtless but, bandaged up. He took a seat beside me not caring if Nate said anything or not. Logan  was fine with it . I noticed that dad placed six phones in the middle of the table. Two were black , Two were white and two were red.

“Blackberry Torch? Nice” Aria said picking one of the table. She held the white one in her hand , she slid the phone open so she could see the  texting buttons. I’ve never gotten a phone before. Always use to see mom talk on it a lot when I was younger. It was like her life. She use to be on it 24-7 while dad would cuddle up and play with me. I felt  someone nudge my elbow. I turned to the left to face Zac, his smile was bigger than ever. Dad passed out the phones. I got white like Aria, Logan and Zachary got black, Dad and Nate red.

“Free texting , unlimited calls just incase you guys are in trouble” Dad told us. This phone was mine.

“Wow that’s a great plan you got especially for blackberry torch!” Zac sounded excited. “But  I already have a phone. I Phone 4” he took it out from his pocket. Dad took it and tossed it in the trash can that was at the end of the room. Zachary’s face went blank.

“People can track you like that. I didn’t get a plan I did something else. So if you guys get lost I’ll be the only one to find you”. A thought crossed my mind. Who was that person who shot an arrow at Zac? How’d he/she know my name? Why did the person sound so damn familiar.

“Dad….” I spoke up.

“Yes dear?”

“Who was in the forest” I almost whispered.

“I’m not sure but, I think it was someone from your hospital. They used arrows because they think your animals. If I’m correct they talked to natives about you. It’s an old story”

“Which means they tracked you somehow. So before we leave this house. I’M doing a check on you got it?” Nate stepped in. I rolled my eyes at him which ticked him off. “ Don’t you dare roll your eyes at me don’t you dare” he was still mad.

“Okay seriously. You’ve been acting so I don’t know there’s not even a word to describe it. What’s your problem? You’ve been so sweet and then said words that slapped me in the face since I got here. Just.. I don’t know” I felt a tear run down my face. I wiped it away but when I saw my hand the tear was red and not clear. I was crying blood tears. I teleported out of the family room with my phone and in to my room. I locked the door and lay on my bed and cried. You know what? If I keep crying he’s going to think I’m a cry baby. I sat up in my bed and meditated like I did in the hospital. Hoping for the first time ever that I would be able to astral project and get out of this place for while and think a bit . I lost focus. There was a knock on my door.

“Sweet heart open the door” Aria said.

“Charls open the door please” Nate grieved.

“Move out of the way” Zac said. I heard the lock go click and all of them walked in. Nate walked up to me first. He sat on my bed and forced me into his arms. In my ear he whispered “I’m sorry I didn’t know I was going to hurt you that bad that you would cry blood tears. Charlotte hell, I  should’ve handled it maturely from the start and I’m sorry I didn’t. I just get mad sometimes and you shouldn’t let me hurt you like that. No matter if I say something to you or hurt you in anyway remember that I will always love you and don’t really mean that stuff I’m sorry”  he kissed me forehead like he always did. Logan walked into the room and told us it was almost time to go so Nate should do a check before we left. Nate carried me out of the room and into a spare room I hadn’t noticed. It looked like a smaller lab. He lay me on the stretcher and checked all the possible places that could put a track device on me. Nothing. He found nothing.
