{Chapter 4} I Am Not Just Your Little Puppet

“Rise and shine sleepy heads!! It’s time for training! BELIEVE IT!!” Both Adira and you hit your alarm clocks and dragged yourselves out of bed.

“Well I personally think it was a good thing to record Naruto’s voice on our alarm clocks, at least it wakes us up...” You mumbled while you both slumped down the hall and to the kitchen.

“Hmph...” Adira grumbled. She wasn’t a morning person. You reached up in the cupboard and grabbed two bowls then two spoons in the drawer below as Adira grabbed a cereal box and the milk. After breakfast was done you both walked out of the kitchen and stopped dead in your tracks. You looked at each other in confusion.

“Was he there before..?” You pointed at the couch.

“I don’t know... maybe?” Adira scratched her head as you both walked around to the front of the couch and stared at him... he was sucking his thumb.

“Naruto..? Why are you sleeping on our couhc..?” You poked his face twice before he opened his eyes.

“Oh... Uh... hi guys.” He croaked with a huge grin on his face. You smiled back as Adira just grumbled and crossed her arms. “Sorry I just barged in and stuff. There was a cat outside my house that wouldn’t shut up so I came here to sleep.” Naruto yawned and cuddled a pillow in his arms. You giggled and poked his head.

“Silly goose! After we’re done getting ready you can sleep in my bed.” You smiled with rainbow eyes and walked back down the hall with Adira right in front of you. After about ten minutes you both came out of your room dressed in your ninja outfits and ready to go.

“Okay Naruto you can go to sleep now if you want. When you wake up you can have some of our instant ramen. See you later!” You yelled and Adira waved as you both ran out the door.

“I’m glad we were able to move our stuff into our new apartment last night. We’ve been waiting for it to be finished for over a month!” You threw your arms up in exasperation while you both ran down the streets.

“Yeah, those people who bought our house must have been getting impatient.” Adira made a face. “And we need to get rid of some of those boxes. The other bedroom is completely full of stuff.” She complained while putting her hand over her face. You laughed and agreed. After a while you finally arrived at the training grounds to see Genma standing there alone. You both walked up to him.

“What’s the deal? I thought you had a new member for us?” Adira crossed her arms. Genma smiled and laughed.

“Oh I do.” Just after he said that someone came from behind and grabbed both you and Adira around the waist and squeezed and shook you.

“OH MY GOSH!! I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! YOU HAVE GROWN!! AWH YOU GUYS ARE JUST SO CUTE!!!” Whoever it was screamed.

“AHH!! PUT US DOWN!!” You yelled and squirmed.

“STRANGER DANGER!! STRANGER DANGER!!!!” Adira screamed. You both wiggled out of their grasp and backed up to take a good look at them. He was male. Tall and skinny with blonde hair and green eyes. He also wasn’t familiar at all.

“You both have grown up to be such remarkable and beautiful women!” e smiled and closed his eyes. “OH I’m so proud of you!” You could see tears in his eyes.

“Is this guy for real..?” Adira whispered to you.

“I don’t know... You think he’s just a nut?” You whispered back as Adira nodded in confirmation. “He smiles like a weirdo...” You commented.

“Who are you?” Adira asked with confusion written all over her face.

“My name is Takeshi Zama, and Adira and Shizuri... I am your older brother!” Both you and Adira stood there in shock. There was dead silence as the wind blew through the trees.
