My American History class passes by slowly and very uneventfully. I don't talk to anyone, but a girl sat beside me and smiled as she sat down. She looked nice enough, maybe I'd try talking to her tomorrow. She smiles kindly to me as she gets up and leaves the class. I leave quickly too, using my map to find my way to my American History class.

I guess because my first class doesn't start until 10:30 I don't get a lunch break, but at least I only have 3 classes to suffer through. I don't know how Lily is going to go to 4 classes straight without any sort of break in between them.

When I found my way to my class Lily is already there, sitting near the back. I smiled widely, my stomach doing some weird fluterry thing. The smile died on my face when I noticed someone sitting beside her. I frowned slightly as I walked towards her.

When I was right beside the desk she was sitting in she noticed me. "Oh, Bree! This is Matt. Remember I told you about him being one of the friends I had when I was younger? The one that emailed me and said he was coming here too?"

I got another weird feeling in my stomach, this time it felt almost like jealousy. I frowned even more, but then faked a smile when she gave me a confused look. I looked over at Matt and smiled. "Hey, nice to meet you."

He smiled, looking a little uncertain of me. "Hey, Bree."

He's cute. Really cute. He has that shaggy kind of hair that all girls like and it's a nice shade of brown. His eyes are really blue, not an electric blue or deep blue, just blue. He's tanned and I can just tell if he was to lift up his shirt he would of course have those abs that all guys here seemed to have. He's wearing swim shorts that are a bright green and almost make me cringe. Against his tanned skin they really stand out but I can tell he doesn't really mind.

"Sit here!" Lily says, pointing to the desk in front of her.

I smile at her and take the seat in front of her. I turn to my side and face both Lily and Matt.

"So where'd you move from, Bree?" Matt asks me, looking at me intently.

"Oakland."

His eyebrows raise slightly. "Nice. What made you decide to come to UCLA?"

I shrug. "I applied to a lot of schools and got accepted to most, but UCLA just seemed like somewhere I wanted to go. It wasn't too far from my hometown but not too close either." I shrug again.

Lily smiles, putting a hand on my shoulder. Her touch is light and warm, slightly brushing against the exposed skin on my neck. I shiver without meaning to. "Well, I'm glad to decided to come here. I'm so happy you're my roomate!"

I smiled back at her. "I'm really glad I'm your roomate too."

Matt silently watched us with a weird expression. Almost suspiciously. I squrimed uncomfortably undernearth his searching stare. Thankfully the teacher walked into the class and started the lesson so I smiled one last time at Lily and then turned around in my desk and focused my attention on the professer.
