**Sam's POV**

Umph.

I woke with a start.

A scream threatened to escape my lips, but my throat was dry, causing me to choke on my attempted scream. I leaned into the cough until to bang my head on a wall. I opened my eyes fully, taking in my surroundings. I seemed to be crammed in a small box, barely big enough to hold my cramped up body.

I attempted to touch the edge of the box I was in, but I couldn't. My hands were burried under my legs, and no part of my body was moving anywhere. I let out a frustrated sigh. I'd rather be in a creepy van then trapped in a box.

I decided it would just be best for me to go back to sleep, for it didn't seem as if I was going anywhere in a while, and there was no sense in staying awake if there was nothing I could do.

When I woke up again, a bright light shined in my eyes.  I raised my hand to sheild my eyes, letting out an interesting noise mixed with delight that I could finally move my body, but fright of where I was.

"Ah, you're finally awake," a gruff voice said from beside me. I jumped in fear, a small scream slipping from my mouth. I turned my head to meet eyes with the man who knocked me out.

"What do you want from me?" I asked, trying to sound as brave as possible but I sounded weak. A small chuckle fell from the man's lips.

"Relaz sweetheart, I only need to take you through some tests," he said. The way he called me 'sweetheart' made me cringe, and the menacing smile plastered on his face made me squirm in fear.

"Tests?" I croaked, cowering away from the man. His smile grew wicked as he watched me cower in fear.

"None of your pathetic family passed the tests. Since your the last one in your family, I figured there may still be hope for you."

At the mention of my family, tears sprung to my eyes. I held them back. I've already exposed to much vulnerability to this asshole. Crying is the last thing I need to do in front of him.

"Now, if you will so kindly follow me," he said, his wicked smile widening as I shrunk even further away from him. "Now Sami, you don't want to disobey me," he said, a serious expression taking over his features. I swallowed the lump in my throat and considered punching him for calling me Sami.

I scurried off the floor and followed him against my will. The second I stood up, I almost fell back down. I was unbelievably dizzy and the side of my head hurt like hell. I grabbed the side of my head. A huge bump could be felt and when I pulled my hand back, a small bit of blood slipped down. I gasped. My captor turned to back to face me, his glare making me forget my pain and continue to follow him.

We walked down a long hallway. The lights were dim and doors lined the walls. A few carts filled with test tubes were scattered around.

"What is this place?" I whispered, mainly talking to myself, but he heard me.

"The test lab," he answered simply without turning around.

"What kind of tests?" I asked, curiosity taking over me. I instantly regretted asking as soon as the question slipped from my mouth.

"Will you shut up!" He snapped, coming to a sudden halt and turning around quickly to face me. His body towered over mine, making me feel smaller than I already felt. I took a step back, but it only seemed to raise his anger.
