I got into thinking about inner beauty. A lot. Like everyday, I seem to have this constant mantra that inner beauty is what matters, exterior stuff don't matter etc etc, and I really believe in it. So, more inner beauty poems! Nicole, this is like the hundredth time I'm dedicating something to you, but you're always the one who tells me not to give a shit about how I look because, "People don't like me then don't like me lor. Who cares?" LOVE YOU.

RETARDED AWFUL PHOTO:

She holds her back up straight,

To look taller and more perfect.

She sucks in her stomach,

And puts on the eyeliner; all that.

She paints her nails frantically,

Wearing skirts and toppling heels.

And brushes her hair till it’s shiny,

Trying to make herself more beautiful.

But isn’t hard to be trying so hard all the time?

To stay on form and to smile.

Isn’t it painful to starve yourself,

And be so uptight, you start to sour?

Maybe your definition of beauty is different,

But I think its really horrible to be suffering.

In fact, I think you’re most beautiful,

When you’re happy and smiling.

The most gorgeous people,

Feel great in their ratty sweaters.

With their glasses and uncombed hair,

They just wear plain jeans and old sneakers.

They don’t even need to try,

And they feel great in their own skin.

They don’t think so much about their wardrobe,

And they are what they seem.

And with every retarded awful photo,

They laugh and continue living their lives.

They don’t really care if they look ugly,

Because physical beauty isn’t their only strive.

It doesn’t matter how they look on the outside,

Because all they see are the important stuff inside.

Like the heart and the soul and the kindness,

And to all else, they are impervious and blind.

Eventually, this beauty can’t stay hidden,

And it shines as bright as the morning sun.

For their carefree spirit stays unbroken,

And they live their lives to the fullest fun.
