I gulped at Bruno's words and eyed him as he casually gave a farewell to the other teams. They dispersed quickly with only Krystal, Clark and Ruby lingering slightly.
I kicked the screen on the floor and swore to myself. Placing my hands on my hip I glared anonymously at Bruno's words like poison swirling in my mind.
....It is thy, who shall be loved to death... After all
Clark's attitude filled groan got me out of my lucid daydreaming with a Krystal running after him. Caspian casually slipped away, way before probably during Clark's screening. I turned to head to my room, but could tell Clark was going there.
And by the looks of it Krystal followed him in. Sighing I turned back around to see Ruby staring at me looking scared almost. I smiled at her, but that just made her flinch. I watched her oddly and witnessed her smile back quickly and run away frantically.
She smiled, yet it didn't reach her eyes.
I was too busy thinking about what Bruno said when really Ruby's action gave me a bigger impression. It looked as if something spooked the little girl. That, I don't know, but I could assume it revolved around the illusion.
Scratching my head with a frustrated hint I glanced to my left. White curtains that were dancing up and down caught my attention. Staring at it for a second or two I slowly took a step.. Another, and another.. Until I walked up to it.
I looked down to see light streaming from it. I squinted my eyes as random rays of light hit my face. Placing my hand on my forehead to block the light, I looked behind me to see the time pretty late. Past midnight actually.
Yawning coincidentally at how late it really was, I turned back around at the balcony door. I didn't want to go to bed since I was annoyed beyond belief. Instead I decided to go into the yellow flower field and play a trick on Caspian.
I smiled to myself as I quietly entered the balcony door and tip toed my way over to Caspian who was as expected laying down. The more I got closer the more I steadied my steps. His eyes were closed which was a good thing.
Leaning in as far as I could with my chest touching my knees I stared him down and inhaled in a very slow paced breathing rate. He didn't flinch, but winced a little from the sudden shade I guess. Shrugging a little Caspian was already in a steady slumber which meant he was in here for awhile now.
I suddenly remembered his reaction of what happened with fake Venus and him. I bit my lower lip from trying not to laugh and covered my mouth with my hands. Bending my legs I leaned in a little bit closer and placed a hand at the side of my mouth.
"You're mistress has arrived..." I whispered mimicking fake Venus. Caspian's eyes blew wide open. Surprisingly I held in the giggle fit that was trying to overcome me and challenged Caspian questioning glare.
His eyebrows were arched in a did-you-really-just-wake-me-up-fool. We stared at ach other for a good minute without blinking.
"Are you...?" Caspian stopped halfway.
I blinked.
Did he actually think I was fake Venus?
I didn't say anything which meant I let him assume I was. The funny thing was I could let him believe I was fake Venus or not. I didn't want to mislead him, but I secretly did...
Just to see what would happen.
I kept my composure as straight as possible as Caspian's blue eyes pierced my skin with his scorching questioning look. I was almost intimidated, but I held my ground until he moved up a little.
I didn't move.
He was testing me.
Venus would've moved back, but Venus didn't. I wonder why I didn't.
He moved a little bit closer. I didn't move. Caspian moved once again until I could see the specks in his blue eyes.
I suddenly noticed I was holding my breath from staring for so long. I also noticed how cramped my bent legs were from the awkward position I was standing in.
One more inch closer and Caspian would be kissing me. I couldn't move. I knew he knew I was Venus, but there was that lingering question if I really was.
This ultimate test would answer his question. And if I let him then that would just leave more questions which I wasn't willing to do. The minute he leaned in for the attack I flung backwards falling like I attempted to do a back flip, but arguably failed.
