Prologue

Kristen’s POV

          My father is gone. My dad was driving home from work when he got hit by a driver, dead upon impact. People walked up to the casket, women crying as men told him how strong he was. “Our turn, honey,” My mother said.

          We got up and walked to the casket. My father’s face was pale, his hands sat on top of each other. “I love you, daddy,” I whispered.

          Tears rolled down my face, trying to be strong. My mother let out a whimper as they closed the casket and took it away.
