Cameron’s Pov:

“Where are we going?” I ask Toby.

“To see Chloe, Bailey and the boys are there too.”

Lately I've been avoiding Bailey, because I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. Yes, I'm going to still fight for her and try my best to make her mine. But she is stubborn so it may take a while.

We pull into Dairy Queen and park, and get out. When we get inside we look around and see it’s mostly empty. In the back corner Bailey, Chloe, and the boys are there, and two girls.

I recognize both the girls, Veronica and Ashley. Veronica and I had gone out, for about a month, until I broke up with her. She always paid attention to other guys when I was right by her. Veronica even tried getting at Tyler, but he shot her down. I'm not sure if it was because of how we had dated or because he wasn’t interested. But I could give a shitless, Tyler could go fuck himself, he’d be better off with Veronica.

Toby and I walk over to the table, and I pull a seat up at the end of the table. While, Chloe just gets up as Toby sits, then she sits on his lap and wraps her arms around his neck.

I see Veronica get up from her seat and walk my way with that stupid grin on her face. She sits on my lap and wraps her arms around my neck.

“What are you doing?”I ask her.

“You looked lonely. I thought I would accompany you.” She says still smiling.

“Well, I'm fine. Now, can you get off me please.” I'm extremely uncomfortable right now.

She stays in her position and puts her head in between my shoulder and neck. Veronica starts planting soft kisses on my neck leading up to my ear. She bites on my ear and pulls it with her teeth. I try my best not to moan or show any sign of liking it, however I loved it when girls did that to me. I've only had two girlfriends, counting Veronica. I never was the type to date. If I wanted to date a girl, I want it to be a meaningful relationship, not one of those where you date the girl just because.

Veronica whispers in my ear, “I know you like it when I do that, don't act like you don't.”

“You need to get off me. I told you before I don’t want anything to do with you.” I tried my best keeping my voice low.

I look at the people at our table. Ashley was flirting with Brandon and Noah, Chloe and Toby were talking to Tyler, and Bailey was looking at Veronica and I. Tyler’s arm was wrapped around Bailey’s shoulder while she was leaning into him.

I wish Tyler and I could swap our positions. It breaks my heart when I see them together. I wish it was Bailey and I, not Tyler and Bailey.

“I know you want me. Just admit it.” She whispered again.

“No, now please get off me.” I say with an angered tone, drawing attention to us. She finally got off, and walked back to her seat, swaying her hips.

I get up, not saying a word to anyone and walk outside.

Bailey’s Pov:

I see Toby and Cameron enter through the doors. I figured they would show up, considering Toby and Chloe are together, but not Cameron. I haven’t talked to him in a while, he’s been very distant.

Cameron pulls a chair at the end of the table opposite from Tyler and me, while Chloe sits on Toby’s lap. They’re so cute.

I'm still surprised that I have this many friends. I guess Toby and Cameron are part of the reason why I have some of them.

I notice I'm staring at the table, so I draw my attention to everyone at our table. Hunter had left a bit ago, so luckily he had his car so Chloe and I didn’t have to leave and take him.

Toby and Chloe are having a conversation with Tyler, Ashley is flirting with Brandon and Noah, I notice Veronica is missing from her seat. I look to Cameron, and there she is sitting on his lap, kissing his neck and whispering things into his ear.

By his facial expression he doesn’t want her to be on him. Cameron’s eyes lock with mine. Yes, there’s a little part of me that likes Cameron and feels for him, but I like Tyler more.

“No, now please get off me.” I hear Cameron say, taking his attention away from me.

Veronica finally gets off his lap and sits back in her seat and Cameron is on his way out the door, without saying a word to any of us.

“I’ll go see what’s wrong with him.” Toby says and starts to get up.

“No, it’s okay. I’ll go check on him.” I say and get up before Toby. I start walking towards the door without looking back.

I walk through the doors and go outside in a search for Cameron. He’s not out front. I look around the building to where Tyler and I previously were. He’s not there.

I look in the parking lot and see his truck. I don’t see him inside, but I see his head sticking out in the bed of the truck.

“Hey.” I say as I make it to the back of the truck.

Cameron looks up from his lap, “Hi.”

“Can I join you in there?” I ask, gesturing towards the bed of the truck.

“Be my guest.” I get on the tire and swing my leg inside the bed and steady myself inside. I take a seat next to him, with our backs against the back and his legs stretched out and mine criss-crossed.

“Are you okay?” I ask breaking the silence.

“I guess.”

“You’ve been quiet lately, why?” I ask, however he ignores my question, so I change the subject.

“Looks like Veronica has a bit of a liking towards you.” Although I dislike Veronica, I just brought it up to make conversation.

“I don’t care for her.” He says staring at his hands in his lap.

“Not many people do.” I mutter.

“Why don’t you?” he asks and finally looks at me, with his beautiful brown eyes.

“She was a bitch to me before you got here.” I tell him.

“Yeah, she isn’t the most pleasant person to be around.” He says and laughs.

“You got that right.” I agree with him. There was a few minutes of slience just listening and looking at our surroudings, occasionally hearing crickets chirping.

"So," Cameron starts to speak and I look at him, "you and Tyler are together now?" He asks not looking up.

"No, we haven't even had a date yet." I tell him, even though we are going out sometime next week. He doesn't say anything, he just continues to look at his hands, "I think to be with somebody, you should get to know eachother and go on a date. Because once you go on a date with them, you may not think about them that way, you just may think you guys will be better off staying friends." I say honestly.

"That is true," he finally looks at me,

Cameron's Pov:

"Well thank you for enlightening me about it." I tell her and smile. "Maybe we could go out sometime, as friends of course."

I figured out my plan, thanks to help from Bailey.

I'll hangout with her more, show her what it's like to have a real man take her out and care for her. Usually they say bestfriends make the best couples, I will become her bestfriend.

"I would love to hangout with you." She says with a smile.
