I Take A Stand For Slytherin (poem)

We're all caught in the same stereotype,

you say we're all evil but its just hype,

you think we're cold hearted, dark, and mean,

all just because we dress in green,

you give us all the same brand,

and I think its time I take a stand,

this house is for those of ambition,

we always complete our mission,

you won't find a house more cunning,

it really can be quite stunning,

and yes indeed we are brave,

our friends we will always save,

while enemies will always fall,

we will defeat them all,

we're as smart as ravenclaws,

but all you see is our flaws,

look down at us like we're scum,

then wonder why we look so glum,

you never give us a fighting chance,

judge us just by a glance,

avoid us like we're the plague,

but your knowledge of us is still vague,

why don't you look past the cold exterior,

and get to know our interior,

there are some nasty people in our crew,

but don't judge the whole by those few,

most of us are just misunderstood,

you'll find deep down we're good,

now we turn our faces to a shooting star,

and wish you'd take a closer look at who we are.
