Chapter Twenty One: A Boxing Day Gift

Colette's Point Of View

I bit into my third apple as Harry huffed loudly again. He's been in a mood ever since yesterday evening when he got that Firebolt and Hermione turned it into McGonagall since she suspected Black sent it. I think that's a little far fetched but it's Hermione. She seems to always be right in the end. Best to go along with it I suppose. Harry sighed again and folding his arms as I threw the fork I'd also been balancing on my nose onto the table and huffed, "Harry. Give it up. Man, smack a smile on."

"How can I Lottie?" He whined, throwing his hands into the air, "That was the best broom in the world! And she made McGonagall take it away!"

"Yeah Lottie, it was a little harsh." Fred started as he sat in my left,

"And she didn't even have proof but it was still took away." George said, sitting on my right,

"But," I began, "If that broom had been cursed and Harry had rode it, ran into a tree and end ed up splattered on the ground, would you guys been singing a different tune?"

"Exactly." Hermione said as she walked past and sat with Ginny and her three friends who were up the table a little more than us,

"Offended." I said and held up a hand. Hermione smiled and shrugged before starting a conversation with Ginny.

"They still shouldn't have took it." Fred said and took my half eaten apple from my plate. I sighed loudly and laid my head on my plate. I heard George laughed and Fred poked my side, "Hey Lottie."

"Yes Fred?"

"Hey Lottie."

"Fred?"

"Hey Lottie. Hey Lottie. Hey Lottie."

"Go drown yourself."

"You're peppy today." He said and George laughed,

"You're poking me in the side." I stated, sitting up, "What do you want me to do?"

"Act happier." He smiled and I rolled my eyes and laying my head back on the table. Next minute the Great Hall doors opened and I felt every ones head turned to the door. I didn't look it since it was probably only Dumbledore coming in,

"Tell Dumbledore to shut the door behind him." I mumbled, "There's a draft."

"Colette, you alright there?" I heard Lupin ask me,

"Fine." I said and sat up slowly. I expected to see just Lupin stood there. But no. He had a friend. An unknown friend who looked like ... I don't know really. She had long hair which was black and wavy and brown eyes. No, wait. No, they're green. Actually I'm not sure. Maybe a mixture of both. But anyway. She wasn't someone I'd ever seen before and Fred poked me in the side again, "What?!" I snapped at him. He looked shocked and smiled weakly. He tried to laugh it off and looked back at Lupin and the new one,

"Kids. This is Alexandra Tonks." Lupin started. Tonks. I know that name. "I trust you guys can make her welcome."

"Pfftt. I can. These lot'll just stare at her." I said and folded my arms, looking at the four boys sat around me just looking at her like she was not suppose to be there, "Lighten up for once in your life boys. You might make a new friend."
