Reasons For a war (help in writing story details provieded)

In the story i would like a war to come about. Ashanti (Meaning for the sake of war) Nevaeh (heaven spelt backwards) Drogonstein. is a child born of two worlds. Vamire and Human. Howver even though it is common for vampires to have children excedinly rare are they born with gifts (elemntal control) and after a spell was caste to stoop this from happening because of the danger they posesed Ashanti was born.

Her mother and father are believed to have died in a fire and she was believed to have died as well. ( her father survived and thought her dead) However she survied. I want the person to have started the fire to know she was one of those gifted. But im struggling with WHY they would be such a threat and HOW I can start a war over this. In which she ends up betrayed and left to either save everyone on her own (resulting in her people turning their backs on her or to let half of them be wiped out and for her to remain with them.

I want Ashanti to be born after the spell has been cast, making her birth even more incredible. I dont want the war to be anthing to obvious like the elementals are too powerful.
