"How many more times do I have to tell you? I am not going to some stupid camping club trip thingy and leaving all my friends behind!" I shouted through the door to my mum. She just wouldn't listen to me; I am NOT the camping type.
"Well sweetie your friends did have the opportunity to come but they didn't so..."
"There was a reason why they DIDNT want to come! It isn't cool!" I shouted back. Who on earth would want to go on a stupid camping trip in the middle of summer?
"Well sorry but last time I checked camp outs were really cool!" OMG just kill me now.
My mum opened the door and I fell through, she simply stepped over me with the washing in her hands. I got up immediately and crossed my arms over my chest. She is going to get one hell of a moody daughter now.
"COOL! Who bloody told you that! CAMPING CLUB is the last cool thing at school! Sure normal camping is awesome with all the marshmallows and dares, but camping club is for losers who have nothing better to do than leave their lives behind and start a new more tragic one in a forest with a couple of tents!"
"Well for starters you don't stay in tents, you stay in cabins. Then it's not in a forest it's in a kind of field all set up for the club"
"Well it's not even camping then! Jeesh MUM! How long do I have to stay there!" please don't be longer than a week.
"Well the club lasts for a long time, but I have signed you up for four months"
"WHAT! FOUR MONTHS! MUM!" I shouted at the top of my voice!
"Yes dear"
"BUT THAT'S LIKE.....FOUR MONTHS!!" I shouted again.
"Well done! Aren't you clever, now please stop shouting or I can sign you up for six months" was all she said before she went downstairs leaving me completely clueless as to what has just happened. I will be away from home for a long time; I am going to miss everyone! Emily is going to flip when she hears about this.
"EUGH! What do I get out of this if I go to this club thingy?" I shouted whilst going downstairs to join my mum in the utility room.
"What do you mean? You get to make new friends and learn some survival skills"
"Survival skills my ass! I don't give a damn about that stuff, I just eat and socialise! That's what helps me to survive" I stated clearly. My mum looked shocked from my use of language.
"You know what! This is exactly why you are going! Learn some respect young lady!"
"I will when you will!" I said before storming out of the room.
"ME! Since when have I not respected you?"
"Since now! You are not respecting my life! I need to see my friends regularly and you should respect that!" I said. I am on a roll now.
"Just pack your bags and be ready to leave on Tuesday at eight o'clock"
"What! That's the day after tomorrow! And why 8! That's like evening!" man she is pushing it now.
"No, I meant eight in the morning" Well isn't that just great, morning breath! Hellooo, not a good thing! I stood there open mouthed then I decided to text Emily. Just a simple 'Hey I'm coming over' with a little message saying 'MUM IS SENDING ME AWAY'. I hope she doesn't start to have a panic attack!
Five seconds later and my phone were buzzing like mad. Should have known Emily would flip. I flicked through the message she sent me, wondering how on earth she wrote so much in the space of a few seconds! To summarise she was just telling me that she will sort it out and to not worry. I remember last time she said that. It was the trip to Austria that my uncle and aunty wanted me to go on with my cousins.
Me and mum had a similar argument to the one we just had, and when I told Emily she actually had a panic attack. But that was only because she thought I was actually going to live there, when she found out it was only a holiday for three weeks she kind of calmed down. Emily had said then that she would sort it out, but I ended up having to go still.
I grabbed my coat and headed out the door, just missing the tail end of the argument. I smiled to myself at how accurately I planned that leave.
