Thank you to @ImSoRaw who told me the beginning of this story wasn't crap cuz I was doubting it. :) And also thank you to @YARDIE24 who gave me the chapter title. I am still laughing now.Anyways, sorry for the wait! Anddddddddddddddddddddd. ENJOY.
My feet could barely move as I made my way into the church. Auntie Sam gave me two thumbs up and I held on tighter to Mark as we walked towards what appeared to be a set of huge oak doors. I bit my lip and Mark looked at my hands. I was shaking.
“You ready?” he whispered.
I nodded and looked up to the sky.
It wasn’t really the sky but…yeah I looked up to the ceiling and instantly calmed down. I was ready. I composed myself and waited.
“Your bridesmaids are walking in through separate doors. That’s why we’re waiting.” I nodded and noticed my babies.
“Hi Twinkle hi Ri.”
“Hello auntie.” Twinkle grinned holding her tiny flowers.
“You two look so amazing.” I told them smiling.
They ignored me and stared ahead. Taking their jobs very seriously.
“What did I promise?” Auntie Sam asked them.
“You pwomised sweets.” Twinkle said.
“On what condition?” she asked again.
“We shouldn’t drop.” Ri added.
“Good. Now when the door opens you girls will walk slowly like we practised remember? You will walk slowly ahead of auntie/mummy Liam.”
They both nodded.
“Liam. It’s now or never.” His aunt said placing the veil over my face.
As soon as those words escaped her lips the huge doors opened. I took a deep breath.
The girls begun to walk slowly in front of me.
“Liam go.” His auntie whispered.
I started to walk and Mark squeezed my hands. Everyone stood as they saw me and when I heard the song playing I couldn’t help but smile.
I was walking down the aisle to Des’ree- Kissing you. Obviously excluding the words but I knew that song and boy, it took everything within me to not cry.
I looked ahead trying to find him among those that were standing. But I couldn’t see him.
“Where is he?” I whispered to Mark. “Is he there?” I asked panicked.
“Yeah I can see him.” He whispered back.
“Where is he? I can’t see h-.”
My words caught in my throat as I laid eyes on him. I looked into his gray eyes and instantly wanted to run down the bloody aisle and kiss him.
I couldn’t stop staring at him. It was like he had me in a daze. He was smiling and I know for a fact I saw tears.
Yes! I thought in my head as he wiped his tears and continued to stare at me. I felt like I was a queen. His Queen. And at that present moment in time, I felt like we were about to make history. Our history. We were about to start afresh not forgetting the past but realising that the future was bright. OUR future was bright.
The closer I got to him the more I wanted to cry and I did. I made sure they were subtle tears though because I wasn’t on having to blow my nose during my own wedding. Not cool. Stood beside Fire was Andy and his dad. My boy was sexy goddamn. I licked my lips and I thought of touching him inappropriately and abusing him.
I quickly snapped out of it. I could do that later.
We finally ended in front of Fire and Mark did something which really took my breath away. He put my hands in Fire’s and said,
“Look after her and take care of her.”
