Gretta found herself re-reading the letter in her mind over and over. Two days after Ewan left she had received it in the mailbox. She hadn't told anyone else about it, she waited til Ewan got home to tell him about it. But now, now that he was back, she felt anxious about giving it to him.
What if he reads it and realized something horrible? What if it's some crazy vampire killer, and Ewan is next? Gretta couldn't bare to think of it.
But she must give it to him. Good relationships are based off of mutual trust, she recited.
"Ewan." She called as she enter the bedroom.
Gretta's eyes started to water.
"What is it?" Ewan jumped, startled by her expression.
She lifted a shaky hand that clutched the letter. Ewan looked from her to the paper, before taking it cautiously.
He read it in silence to himself. She could tell when he had finished because he swore softly.
"What does it mean?" Gretta asked. She had tried to read it but couldn't. It was in a language she wasn't familiar with, it looked like Latin but some of the letters weren't right.
Ewan sat on the bed and motion for her to sit by him. "It means Diandra saw it coming. And she isn't going to be the last."
**Sorry it's so short, still playing with it a bit.***
