Daniel and Victoria spent the vast majority of the day taking pictures of each other in the meadow, laying in the flowers and talking and they even walked along the creek bed. It was a spectacular day and he was happy he had parked where he had earlier because if he hand't he would have never ran into Victoria. There was something about her that he couldn't quite put his fingertip on but he knew she was special and didn't want to let her go just yet.
A beeping sound went off and pulled them from their little chatter. Daniel brought his arm down so he could check the time. He sighed as he sat up and got to his feet to brush of his clothes. He then helped Victoria to their feet and they began walking back towards the hotel so they could get the car.
"You don't need to change at all do you?" Daniel asked Victoria as they walked into the parking lot towards the car. Victoria shook her head. "Well I hope you don't mind a little stop before we head to the concert because I would like to get into something more comfortable."
"Oh no I don't mind at all." Victoria replied as she tossed him the keys from her sweater pocket.
Victoria slid into the passenger seat as he got into the drivers side and started the engine.
"I miss my truck" Victoria sighed as she tried to stretch her legs out. "Stupid compact" she mumbled.
"You drive a truck?"
"Of course I do, how else am I supposed to get my big toys out to the playground."
"I beg your pardon?" he said confused at her choice of words.
Victoria laughed. "I have a quad, a dirt bike, a snowmobile, and a jet ski. I also have a surfboard mountains bikes and camping gear that I would need a truck to tow around."
Daniel's eyes widened at her words. A girl that loved the outdoors, she was so close to being perfect he thought he was dreaming."
He drove 5 blocks to a gated community. Daniel smiled at the gate gaurd as they drove past. Victoria looked out of the window and smiled at the houses, the detailing put into them in even the slightest way fascinated her. Alot better looking than alot of the American houses. Daniel pulled into a drive and parked the car before he got out. Walking around to the other side her opened the door and helped her to her feet.
"I could have got that myself." Victoria spoke kindly.
Daniel walked with her up to the front door and unlocked it before he stepped aside to let her pass before him.
"I am sure you could have too, but I like being a gentleman." Taking her sweater he hung it up on the coat rack and led her into a sitting room. "Make yourself comfortable I will just be a moment." He said disappearing upstairs to his room.
Victoria smiled as she gazed around the room, he sure knew how to keep his things tidy and in place, that said alot about a man. Moving to the loveseat she sat down. On the coffee table infront of her was a familiar book. Leaning forward she picked it up, it was hers.
She checked the binding and saw how flimsy it was, he had definitely read this one alot or was careless about how he took care of his books. That last thought disgusted her. Setting the book back down on the table she took in a deep breath to relax her nerves. She normally began having anxiety attacks from the smallest things, they never got too bad she just shook and trembled alot. Sinking her head into her hands she tried to block out her surrounding and focus on her breathing. A hand brushed along her face causing her to jump back into the couch.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Daniel murmered as he brought Victoria to her feet.
"No, no its fine I just am having a bit of an anxiety attack its normal though."
"What is causing it?" Daniel asked worridly.
Victoria was uncertain if she wanted to tell him that. The reason afterall was sorta pathetic and he would probably laugh. Then again why should she care if he laughed at her, its not like she wanted him to like her. Or did she.
"I normally get anxiety spikes when I am about to do something I've been anxious to do."
Daniel smiled. "You are having an anxiety attack because of the upcoming concert?"
Victoria nodded her head. "Yeah, thats not bad though. You should have been there went I started shaking while I was waiting for the last book of one of my favorite book series to come out. That was pathetic."
"Your favorite book series?"
"I should have rephrased myself. One of my favorite book series, its sorta hard to have just one." Victoria smiled before her mouth fell open. "Your eyes are blue?"
"Er, I hope so I mean that is my natural color. Why do you ask?"
Victoria blushed, "It's my favorite color for eyes, it reminds me of a clear blue sky or the clean ocean."
"Thank you." He looked down at his watch before he grabbed the keys from the table by the door. "So are you ready?"
"I've been ready" Victoria smirked as she headed out the door with him.
