Welcome to the Family [ON HOLD]

"IZ!!! HOW COULD YOU!!!!!!!!" I yelled at my best friend Iz as she had just told me that she signed me up for open mic night at this popular club. She smiled and said "Oh come on Max just do it! You sing great and you'll be able to meet Matt!" I sighed and glared at her then said "Great I get to embarrass myself infront of your boyfriend." Iz had been dating this guy named Matt for 2 months and yet I havent actually met him. She smiled and said "Come on you gotta get out. Ever since-" I put my hand up and said "Dont talk about it." she nodded her head and hugged me. I just recently lost my boy friend,Damian, in a car wreck. I havent been out really at all since and that was 2 years ago but it still hurt. She sighed and said "Come on! You may meet a guy. I think you would like one of Matt's friends." she smirk her planning smirk which usually ended up in horrible disasters.

I just shook my head and went into my room. I moved in with Iz since Damian died. I looked over at my night stand and saw a picture of me and him. I was sitting on his lap while his tattooed arms were around my waist and we were both smiling. I put the frame flat down and tried to not let the memory come back. Too late.

FLASHBACK

I sat there in the room Damian and me shared putting my make up on. We were going out on a special date tonight. I was excited because usually he never took me out any where fancy but I was ok with it. I smiled at myself and went to get into my dress but before I could the house phone started ringing. I rushed down the stairs and answered it.

"Hello."

" Hello is this Maxine Marsh?"

"Yes . Who may I ask is calling?"

"This is Orange County hospital your boyfriend Damian has been in a car crash and is in critical condition."

"Wh- What happened?"

"He was driving I guess his way home and another car slammed into the side of his car while running a red light."

"Oh ok." I choked out as the tears fell. I hung up the phone and ran upstairs. I wiped all my make up off then grabbed my keys and phone and sped to Orange Cpunty hospital. As I arrived the resceptionist looked at me and asked "Name please." , "Damian Conors." she looked at the computer and said "Room 5'06 ICU." I nodded my head and ran down the halls to ICU. As I got into the room the tears fell. There laying in the hospital bed was my Damian. He was full of bruises. He seemed to be out. I sat down and quickly dialed Iz.

"Hey Max!"

"Iz." I choked out

"Max whats wrong?!"

"Damian. He got in a car crash. He is in ICU in Orange County Hospital."

"I'll be there soon."

I heard the dial tone and closed my phone. I felt a hand on my shoulder then looked up to see a doctor. He looked at me sadly and said "You must be his girlfriend?" I nodded my head and he sighed heavily then stated "He should be awake soon. He is in very bad shape." I nodded my head and he left the room.

I sat there for hours waiting for him to wake up. He didnt. Iz came in and stayed with me for a while then had to leave for her job. As I was about to leave I heard a faint weak voice say "Max." I looked over and saw Damian with his eyes open. He smiled faintly as I rushed over to him. He looked up at me and said "Max. I love you. I'm sorry our date wont happen." I laughed a little and said "The date doesnt matter what matters is that you're awake." He smiled and patted a spot on the bed for me to lay with him.

I layed down carefully next to him and said "I love Damian." he smiled and then placed his lips to mine gently and passionatly. I kissed back then pulled away. He laced our fingers together and we just sat there and talked. I soon fell asleep next to him.

Next thing I new I was being shaken awake. I shot my eyes open and saw a nurse shaking me. I then heard a long noise going. I looked over at Damian he was laying there not moving. I got off and the nurses tried pulling me out of the room while they tryed shocking him.

About 10 minutes passed they came out of the room wth heads dropped. I looked in the room and saw Damian mothionless. I rushed in there and started yelling "No! Dont leave me! You cant leave! No! No! No!" I was then being pulled away by doctors saying "M'am please.We're sorry but he is gone."
