Narrator's POV

"Juliette ?! Hello ?! Are you there ?!" Olivia yelled into the phone. "Matt she's not answering !" she was on the verge of tears.

"Shh, calm down, Liv." he said calmly, holding her wrists.

"What happened ?" Natalie asked.

"I called her a-and I told her that there wasn't any wedding and I-I just heard yelling- and I d-what's Arin up to, Natalie ?!"

"I don't know, I really don't. He just told me that he was going for dinner at his friend's place." she explained. "Well now that I think of it, it is kind of weird that he left for dinner so early.. Maybe he's having lunch."

"He's not having lunch or dinner ! He's kidnapped my daughter and hes taking her somewhere!" Matt yelled.

"Hey don't you dare talk about my son that way!"she yelled back.

"Well what do you want us to say ?! That he's quite a gentleman for kidnaping my daughter?"

"Guys!" Olivia said, jumping up from her seat, "stop. Please. We have to find out what's going on. Let's think; where could they have gone ?"

Juliette's POV

I woke up and looked around. It took a while for my vision to come back to normal.

Why am I tied to a tree ? Why is my dress ripped ? Why am I in a forest?

I noticed Arin talking to his friends.

"Dude she's awake." Brandon told him.

He walked over to me and bent down so we were face to face.

"Good morning, princess." he chuckled evily.

"What's going on? Why aren't we at the wedding ?"

"There is no wedding. Just be quiet and try not to get yourself killed." he said, taking off his jacket, revealing his tattoos that I had never seen before.

"What do you mean ? What're you talking about ?! Arin !" I yelled.

"Just be quiet !" he yelled back, kicking the sand which ended up on my face. I spat it out and looked at Arin. What the hell happened to him?

I tried searching for something sharp in the ground so I could use it to cut the ropes but I couldn't find anything.

"Why're we doing this again ?" Cameron asked, walking up to him.

"We want money. And we're going to do whatever it takes to get it." Arin told him.

"Dude this is never going to work. We're going to get caught and arrested."

"Stop being such a wuss."

I thought about calling dad and searched for my phone. Then I realised...I couldn't.

Where was it anyway ?

Just then, I heard it go off. It was probably either mom or dad.

Arin answered the call.

I couldn't understand the whole conversation because I couldn't hear what Dad was saying.

I looked at Arin. Who was this guy? He's definitely not the one I fell in love with. Why did I not see this coming ?

My love for him instantly turned into nothing but hate.

Dad was right.

Narrator's POV

Matt dialled Juliette's number as fast as he could. His breathing became uneven.

After a few bells, someone picked up.

"Well hello there," Arin said.

"What do you want from Juliette, Arin ?" Matt asked pacing around the room. Olivia sat on the couch, thinking of what could be happening to her daughter right now.

"I don't want anything from her. I just want my 500 grand but oh, where am I gonna get that from?" he said, making everything very clear to Matt.

"You'll get whatever you want. But I'm warning you, if you touch my daughter, I'll end you."

"Yeah yeah whatever. But if you talk to anyone about this or try piss me off in any possible, believe me, I'll kill them."

"Them?" Matt asked in disarray. "What do you mean by them ? Who else do you have ?"

"Your sister." he said hanging up.

Matt looked at his phone. He turned around not wanting to look at Olivia or Natalie. He sniffed and pulled his hair.

"Matt," Olivia spoke softly from the couch, "what did he say, Matt?"

"He has Amy too."

Olivia's jaw dropped. She got up and walked over to Matt and kept her hand on his shoulder, but he quickly walked out of Natalie's house and back to his own.

"Olivia," Natalie spoke, "I honestly had nothing to do with this. I don't know what's gotten into tha-"

"Don't. Just don't. I don't want to see or speak to you until I get Juliette and Amy back." Olivia replied, holding back the tears and began following Matt.

----

Olivia walked back home while the weather hinted that the storm was on its way. She thought about her little girl and wondered if she'd even see her again. She recollected some memories from her daughter's childhood: her first steps, her first word. She began crying. She slid down a brick wall and put her face in her hands. How could he do this ? She treated him like her own son, and in return he took away the one thing that meant most to her.

She wiped away her tears and started walking back to her house.

She pushed the gates and walked through and saw Matt sitting on the porch. She sniffed and sat next to him.

The silence that enveloped the atmosphere was so thick, it could be cut with a knife.

Olivia broke the ice by saying "I'm sorry."

Matt stayed quiet for a second and replied "For what?", not looking at her.

"For not listening to you, and calling you paranoid. You were right all along. And I - I'm just really sorry."

"I was an annoying prick and never trusted Arin because I cared about Juliette," he said, swallowing past the lump in his throat. "And now he has my baby sister too." He chuckled slightly and said "To think that I actually felt kinda bad for that guy."

Olivia looked at Matt with tears in her eyes. He looked down at her. "Do you think," he asked, "that we'll find them and get them back?"

Olivia said nothing, as the tears rolled down her cheek. Matt wiped them with his thumbs.

"We have to tell the police," Olivia told him.

"No. No we can't. He said if we got anyone involved, he'd hurt them."

"Them just give him the money, Matt."

"No. I won't give up that easily."

"Matt, are you serious ? This is our daughter and your sister."

"He wants a fight ? He'll get one."

"Matt-"

"I think we should call it a night and go to bed." We'll think about what to do in the morning." He got up and walked back inside without letting Olivia reply. He didn't want to hear anything she had to say. He was just really tired. Olivia sighed and looked at the swing set that she had bought for Juliette's 5th birthday. She saw herself pushing her on the swings while Juliette yelled "Higher!"

Olivia stood up and walked towards the swing set, stopping a few feet away from it.

"Olivia," Matt said from the door, "come inside now. Let's just go to bed." You could really hear the gloominess in his voice. It almost Olivia feel like he was blaming her.

"I'm coming," she told him. "But I don't think I'll be able to sleep knowing that Juliette's not safe."
