After Gabriel disappeared, I left the cabin the next day at full strength. I returned home but something felt different, something felt off.
Jamie seemed fine, he even brought a new window. It was just... I felt different. Every time I fall asleep, I feel two different pulls and I knew where one was coming from but I didn't want to go that way. The other one... I don't know.
"Zayden!" I looked up to see Jamie snapping his fingers in front of my face.
"That's the fifth time, you've spaced out. What happened at Gabriel's?" I shook my head and he looked at me, carefully before walking away.
Zayden...
I ignored him, he's been calling for a while and I'm not going back. My wings burst out on their own and I walked out of the house, feeling the need to fly.
Soaring straight into the night sky, I looked at the stars and felt like I could head to the big moon that was in the sky. Before I knew it, I was hovering above Gabriel's cabin. I could feel his presence inside and I had the urge to race in there.
I felt so cold, it was unnerving.
"Zayden? What are you doing here?" I whipped around to see Gabriel floating right next to me. I must of stayed longer then intended.
Taking one more look at Gabriel, I shot past him hopping to get away. But I could feel him behind me, catching up quickly.
Arms grabbed me and pulled me towards the end of town where the fields were. I fought but it seemed like he was stronger than me and I didn't know why.
He dropped us into the field and stared at me as I did the same to him.
"Why did you bring us here?" I asked and he shrugged but his eyes were changing to a crystal blue.
Feeling a instant urge, I came up to Gabriel and looked up at him. He stared down at me then suddenly he was even closer, so close that my nose was bumping into his chest.
"Zayden, you should leave." He whispered and pushed me away slightly but he keep his hand on my chest.
"Why?" I asked and found his eyes, they were flickering through colors and I didn't know what to do.
"Because, I might do this." He leaned down and grabbed my face, smashing his lips on to mine.
His fingers grabbed at my hair and the next moment my legs were wrapped around his waist. My hands were all over his head and my lips were open, letting his moist tongue slip in.
I pulled back and looked at Gabriel, whose eyes were half lidded and hazy.
"Why are we doing this?" I asked and he opened his mouth to speak.
"What are you doing!" I turned my head to see him.
"Damian." I growled his name and my legs slowly unwrapped from around Gabriel's waist.
"Really Zayden? You're not happy to see me?" He asked and came forward from the shadows. His long black hair was covering half his face.
"I'm never happy to see you." I answered and planted my feet onto the ground. Gabriel's hands were still in my hair as he watched.
"But, I love you Zay-Zay." He cooed and his eyes twinkled under the moon light.
"Drop dead." I hissed and suddenly, I was in his arms.
"I'm already dead baby. And so are you." He chuckled and I glared at him.
"That's because you killed me." My wings burst out and I flew out of his pull.
"Stay away, Damian." I warned and he laughed.
"Oh no. I came back for what's mine. Now be a good little demon and come to me." He beckoned with his hands and I hissed.
"I belong to no one!" I yelled and I could see that Damian was getting mad.
"Zayden! You're coming home!" Damian growled and I shook my head.
"Only if you catch me." I whispered and shot up farther into the air. I knew that Damian would be able to catch me but I might as well give it a try.
"I'll be back Zayden!" I heard Damian scream from behind me and I flapped my wings harder.
"Bite me!"
"I'll do more than that, I'll break you." His whisper sent chills up my back.
Looking done, I saw Gabriel still there staring up at me from the ground.
Knowing that he could hear me, I sent him a message.
I'm sorry...
