***************************

Ricky had popped home to tell Rhonda that he was still alive, to shower and to steal munchies from his kitchen; I was scanning my collection of DVD's, looking for a good one for us to watch together

I heard the doorbell ring and frowned to myself, wondering why Ricky didn't just walk in; maybe the stash of snacks he'd grabbed at his was so mahoosive that he couldn't open the door. I hoped so, I was starving.

I ran downstairs and swung the door open

"Helloooo gorgeous!" I called out, flashing Ricky a cheesetastic grin

My grin vanished when I realised that it wasn't Ricky and was infact Faye

"Um... hello to you too?" she replied, pulling a bewildered face

I couldn't think what to say so instead I just smiled again

"Whats with the strange hello?" she asked cocking an eyebrow

"Pfft, it's a sad day when a girl can't greet her friend whilst commenting on her distinctly better than average good looks" I said, sighing dramatically

Faye looked completely confuzzled

My eyes fell to the sleeping bag Faye was holding

"You moving out?" I asked in a joking tone

"Moving in more like" Faye said, side stepping me and walking into my house

"Why don't you come on in Faye?" I said sarcastically, closing the door behind us

I had my fingers and toes crossed that Ricky wouldn't reappear while Faye was here, I was hoping to have some fun with her now that she thought there was no chance of Ricky and I getting together. Sure it was thanks to her that we had both realised what was right before our eyes but Miss Meddlesome didn't know her schemes would definately work.

"Erm wait, what do you mean?" I asked, suddenly processing what she'd just said.

Faye had already gone in my living room and crashed down on my sofa, her sleeping bag was at her feet along with her hold all bag she used whenever she slept here

"Your mum rang my mum and told her you would need some company tonight" she said, picking up the TV remote and switching on a music channel

I screamed on the inside, though all Faye could see was me smiling.

Why oh why mother?!

That was my evening with Ricky out the window

"Faye I'll be fine on my own" I said, knowing this wouldn't work. It was worth a try though?

Faye burst out laughing

"Yeah right, as if you'd rather be on your own instead of hanging out with your GORGEOUS friend"

"You know me too well" I mumbled, reaching into my pocket to get my phone so I could text Ricky and tell him what was going on

"Please don't be mad at me-" Faye started, distracting me

My head shot up... nothing good ever happened after Faye muttered those deadly words

"What did you do?" I asked quickly
