A/N I don't really feel like writing much of an authors note but I will say that CaiteyAnnSmith was the first to comment.  I think this is the second time she has had that, so good for her.

I looked at the address on the file and compared it to the one on the house in front of me.

Looks like a match to me.  Let's go get Loki now.

I agree.  Let's go.

The house was quiet as I walked up to it and tried to look through the windows.  It didn't really work considering curtains covered most of the window.

Looks like I'm going in without knowing what's there.  No need to be stupid about it though.  I am going to be quiet and go slow, so I don't end up getting shot.  That would be really stupid of me.  If I get shot now it won't be as easy to get Loki home while I don't have a car or other form of transportation.

I slowly approached the door, and listened for a second when I was right in front of it.  A strange quiet greeted my ears.

Loki would be making noise if she was in there.  Right?

She wouldn't go down without a fight.

But this is the address I was given by James' dad.  She has to be here.  What if she's hurt or unconscious?

Stop worrying so much and go in.  We won't know until we see her.

You're right.

I pulled back my leg and smashed it into the door as hard as I could.  It gave with a loud crack and I ran inside.

The two men I saw were expected.  What was not expected was that they weren't the right two men, and they were asleep when I smashed in the door.  One fell off the couch, and another shot up from a mattress in the corner.  They didn't look at me first but instead looked at each other.  When the one who had been on the mattress saw his companion laying in a heap on the floor he started laughing.  I would have joined him but I had adrenaline running through my veins and now really wasn't the time for that.

"Damn it.  Stop laughing at me, that hurt," complained one, "Sorry boss it won't happen again," he said looking over at me for the first time.  Surprise flashed across his face when he saw me, "You're not the boss."

After a few seconds of them staring at me they reacted how I would expect someone from this neighborhood to react to a stranger in their living room.

Two guns aimed at my head in an instant.

I put up my hands in a peace gesture, "Hey don't be pulling any triggers.  I'm only looking for someone."

"Ya right, and I have $500 worth of coke in my pocket," he said in a mocking voice, pulling back the trigger.

This wasn't good.

I ran up to him and tried to get behind him.  Pulling his arms around behind him I said, "I really am only looking for someone."

He dropped the gun and slipped his arm out so he could punch me in the nose.  Stumbling back a little I grabbed my nose for a second before launching myself at him.  We both came down with a crash.  I was sitting on top of him and I threw a few punches to his head.  One connected with his nose creating a satisfying crunch.  His hand came up and connected with my stomach distracting me for a second.  He took advantage of that and flipped us around so he was on top.  I was stronger then him though and it wasn't too hard to reverse our positions again.

Suddenly a loud bang went off followed by burning pain running down my left arm.

I glanced at my shoulder.

Shit, that hurt.

I covered my arm with my other hand.  Pulling it back I found it sticky with my own blood.  Groaning I pulled the bullet out of my arm.  I was fortunate that it wasn't something that would fragment and didn't have too much power so it wasn't too deep.

That does NOT mean that it didn't hurt.  Just means that I can heal faster.

As I dropped the bullet on the ground a punch connected with stomach.  My attention immediately went back to the guy I was sitting on and I started to pin his arms above his head.

It took a few minutes but eventually I got it.

"Now I want to ask you a question," I started putting emphasis on the word question, "Have you ever heard of The She Wolf?  She's a fighter around here."
