But even though running away wouldn't solve much, I still had to do it.
Why?
I don't know, I just had to.
Darren's words raced through my head like songs on the radio. They were so romantic! And the little girlie-girl inside of me would kill for those things! Kissed under the stras... Made out under the mistletoe... Slept together on a park bench... OK! Maybe not the last one! But still...
And then... it hit me.
Maybe Ian heard all the things that Darren said. Maybe that's why he cheated! Maybe... Maybe... Maybe not! After all he said I Love You to Annette that day on the phone! You don't say I Love You to someone who you hooked up with just to get back at your, supposedly, slut of a girlfriend.
It's gonna take a lot for me not to kill someone!
Ian? Maybe...
Larry? Probably not...
Darren? Most likely...
Again questions raced through a hundred miles per minute (!!). How dare he say things like that? How dare he lie? Why the hell does he hate me so much that he would make up things like that? And so on...
Things were never so complicated before I had to have that stupid crush on Darren! Why couldn't have I just fallen for a nice, sweet boy that didn't happen to like the monster, also known as my twin- Nelly.
.Again the angel and devil appeared on both my sides. ''Honey, you worry too much! Everything will be just fine! Fine! ''Why does she have a British accent? How do I know it's a she?? Do all angels have British accents??
''Honey! Stop! Breathe! Too many questions!'' said the angel.
''Ya think?!'' The devil went from normal to gangster! this is too weird! '' Again, YA THINK! Make a turn, en' stop at the bridge.''
''Why? What's there, you want me to jump off?''
''As amusing as that would be, honey, if you die so do we. Now do as the horned-one tells you!''
''Since when are you two in kahoots? Jeez....'' So I pulled over right next to the bridge. It wasn't even big! Just a tiny pond-like pool of water that was covered in different types of plants. ''I know it's in your best interest to keep me alive but what would you say to finding me a rock to cling on to while I slowly drown?''
''Dah-ling! Don't you think you're going a bit cra-zy? Anyway... Forget boys! You're a smart girl! You need to be a crazy career woman!! Like you know that film? The Devil Wears Prada? Well you could turn into one of them! Anne Hathaway didn't have time for anything in that film! Well not Anne but Andy, but you know what I mean.'' And strangely I did.
''Bull! She should get back at all of 'em! I mean, you should, Remz! Who gives about their feelings?! They hurt you! No forgive and forget! Nuh-uh! You should-'' The devil didn't have the chance to finish saying what I should do because the angel butted in.
''No! Focus on your career! Then all the boys will want you!'' Oh God!
''Can I just sit here a think without you two arguing?!?! It's really annoying!'' About two seconds of silence followed before they started arguing again. ''I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!''
A random dog-walker looked at me like I was insane- shouting at the air or whatever lived in my head. Crazy? Me? No! You don't say?
''Was that sarcasm?'' The angel was obviously reading my thoughts.
''Are all British people so annoying like you? Don't answer that! Anyway what am I supposed to call you guys? It's really long saying The Angel or The Devil. ''
Another few moments of silence passed before I looked at myself in the rear-view mirror and saw that they had already gone. Groaning I got out of the car and started walking towards the little path that led to the forest.
Walking is even worse than driving away! Driving you can at least feel warmer! Walking in the forest is just cold and wet and cold and dark. Did I mention it was cold and wet?

Ian was pacing the room, not just any room, but my mothers living room. On the sofa, my mother and Nelly were crying and trying to comfort each other resulting into even more tears. I couldn't understand what was going on, neither could anyone seem to notice me. It was like I wasn't there, like I was a ghost of some sort.
