Daniela: What’s your name?

Lauren Walker. Although it's likely that if I ever publish something I'll write under a pseudonym.

Daniela: How old are you?

I'm eighteen in about three months. Unfortunately I'm stuck in that point of my life where everyone around me is turning eighteen and having the time of their lives - and I'm stuck at home. Thankfully I have my writing and reading to occupy my time!

Daniela: Why did you join wattpad?

I first joined Wattpad because I'd been looking for websites where I could read books for free. I came across a story but it was into something like chapter nine but I didn't realise and I read the whole chapter, totally lost. Because back then you couldn't put all the chapters under one story.  I scoured through the site, trying to understand why the stories were all jumbled and why some of them were so poorly written. It took me a long time to realise what Wattpad was about, but since then - I've never looked back.

Daniela: How long have you been here?

Since I was about eleven or twelve. I've had many profiles all of which I've eventually forgotten about or lost the password/username. I'm terrible at remembering things like that!

Daniela: What story are you most proud of?

Probably Hide And Go Seek. Although Teeth, Claws and Lipstick has a lot more reads, likes and comments, it's my most cliché story I've ever wrote. But it was the only story I've wrote where I've made it all the way to the end. I wrote it years ago when I was younger and even though it was terribly written in every way - plot, characters and grammar, I decided I owed it to myself to re-write it.

Daniela: If you had to choose your favourite story on wattpad, what would it be?

Death Is My BFF. There's more books out now and so far the story is sensationally popular. If anyone has NOT read it, I highly recommend it. The fan-base for it is just growing and growing and growing. It has one of the most complex plots I've ever read and the characters are the most amazing, in-depth characters you will ever come across.

Daniela: What would you rate wattpad out of 10? Why?

8. Although it is by far my favourite writing community, it has a lot of flaws. It especially runs very slow for some reason - and it does it often. It's irritating as well, knowing that it's the site, not my computer and that there's nothing I can do.

Daniela: What do you think could be added to wattpad to make it better?

If it ran just a tiny bit better, everything would be fan-tabby-tastic for me!

Daniela: What’s your favourite story not on wattpad?

I have many. By far, Inkheart is the best thing I have ever read in my life. All three books are wonderful - it's hard to believe they've been translated from German. Beautifully written, every tiny detail captured perfectly. But at the moment, my favourite book that I just finished reading is Ashes by Ilsa. J. Bick. It is seriously one of the best apocalyptic book I have ever read in my life. I love Hunger Games a hell of a lot but I would seriously consider Ashes as being just slightly better.

Daniela: Who is your favourite author on all of wattpad?

Don't really have one!

Daniela: Out of your books, who is your favourite character? Why?

Oh god, now that is a hard one. I adore all my characters. All of them, even the bad one's. They're my babies, my world, my life. I can't pick a favourite.

Daniela: What is your most embarrassing moment, that you’re willing to share?

When I was about twelve, I was out with my mum. I put my head down as we were walking and looked up to see what I thought was her power walking it ahead of me. I ran forward and grabbed her hand and this random woman turned round to me, scowling. Fright of my life. I went bright red and ran back to my mum who stood there laughing.

Daniela: What’s your best way to get rid of writers block?

You don't. It drives me insane, literally to the point where I want to rip my hair from my scalp. And there's nothing I can do about it. I try writing through it, doesn't work. I try going for a walk or a nice relaxing cycle on my bike. I try showering, napping, eating, reading, watching tv... nothing works. Not for me anyway.

Daniela: Are you a reader or a writer? Why?

I've always been both. I adore reading and writing. Both for similar reasons. With reading it's incredibly easy to delve into a world far away from our own, but when things don't go how we want them too, it's not always so fun. Then writing comes in, where we can create our own world where we are entirely in control of every tiny detail. We hold a characters fate in our hands. We do what we want with them - we are, in a sense... a god.

Daniela: Where do you find your ideas?

INSIDE MY BRAIN. Or from my dreams. I have a lot of imagination running wild haha!

Daniela: How often do you upload your stories?

Whenever I get the time. Hard to do while juggling full-time work, a boyfriend, family and friends!

Daniela: Are there any stories you are working on at the moment, that are not published? If so, would you mind telling us something about them/it?

I have a LOT of stuff. Ranging from war and tragedy, vampires/werewolf (both with romance included and where the mythical creatures are literally the bad guys!), fantasy - like with Elves, Dragons, Trolls, etc... and a lot of science-fiction things. I'm a big fan of science-fiction! I'm sure that whatever you're searching for, I'll have it!

Daniela: Is there anything you would like to say in addition?

Nothing but thank you for interviewing me!:)
