Epilogue - Just Say It

(Their Birthday: September 9, 2011)

Anna's POV

"Presenting the birthday celebrants and official royal couple, His Royal Highness Chanceon Nathaniel Bell Simonth and Miss Annalisa Belle Caprione," I heard the announcer guy say.

My hand was hooked on Chancey's, and he looked down at me and gave me a reassuring smile, his crown sparkling n his head. He was going to dive in for a kiss, but I shook my head slightly and laughed.

"Lipstick, Your Royal Highness," I said, making him groan.

He kissed me on the forehead instead right before the double doors opened. The light from the ballroom shined through, and I forced my eyes not to turn into slits from the glare.

I smiled as I looked around the room and stepped out, on top of the staircase, Chancey right beside me. I was about to descend, but Chancey held me back and told me to stay put. Keeping my expression in check, Chancey disappeared.

I awkwardly smiled there at the top, looking down at all of our guests. Jamie was supposed to be here. I missed him though, even after all he did.

Then, the lights dimmed. My mouth almost dropped open, but I managed to stop it. This again? I mentally face-palmed.

I looked beside me as the spotlight focused to see Erin in his suit, holding a white rose.  He bowed and offered his hand.

I put my red-gloved hand in his, taking the rose and descended, raising an eyebrow while smiling at him.

As we reached the end, we waltzed in circles, the spotlight following, the song changing.

right through the rain}

"This again?" I said and laughed softly.

He chuckled and shook his head slightly.

"Happy 18th, baby sis," he said and grinned.

Then I felt a tug on the end of my dress from the back and saw little Nate with a white rose.

Erin picked Nate up as he gave me the rose and held him up. I took Nate's hands and waltzed with his father holding him, cooing at him.

Erin and Nate both hugged me after and were replaced by Jake, one of Chancey's closest friends at school who I've gotten close to.

{Take a breath

Pull me close}

He handed me another white rose, and we swayed back and forth.

{And take one step}

"Don't break Nate's heart, or I will haunt you," he said, joking, albeit seriously.

"Never, Jay," I said.

Locked on mine and let the music be your guide.}

He winked at me, smiling, before leaving.

Martin, Jake's cousin and also one of C's closest friends, handed me another white rose and waltzed with me, too close if I might add.

"Hmm. I hope Nate's watching," he said and winked, grinning like the fool he is.

I rolled my eyes and pushed him lightly on the chest with my other hand not holding the roses.

He chuckled.

"Ain't jailbait anymore," he said and waggled his eyebrows.

{(We'll keep dancing)}

I laughed and shook my head at him before he left.

{To keep dancing}

Holland stepped in and gave me yet another white rose, which my hand was struggling to keep hold of with the gloves on.

{Wherever we go next

"18 year old advice: Never let go of something at any point of time that you don't want to live without," he said.

"I'll keep that in mind, Holl," I said and hugged him before he left.

"Mind if I join the official not-jailbait party?" Zarrin said as he slipped another rose in my hand and led.

I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"You guys suck so bad," I said and laughed.

{And with every step together}

He chuckled and hugged me before going.

{We just keep on getting better}

"Not a party without Sashi," Sash said as he handed me another rose.

I rolled my eyes for the nth time this evening.

{So can I have this dance? (Can i have this dance?)}

"Did you talk about jailbait and parties before you came here?" I said and shook my head slightly.

He shrugged and chuckled.

"Maybe," he said and mock-saluted me before leaving.

"Not so little princess anymore, huh?" Benny said after giving me the rose and taking the lead.

I shrugged and said,"At heart, always."

{Don't be afraid}

He smiled down at me and kissed the top of my head.

{Afraid to fall}

"Always be my lil sis," he said before excusing himself.

{You know I'll catch you through it all}

Lee dramatically bowed and handed me another rose.

{And you can't keep us apart}

"You're one in a million, Anne. Don't forget that," Lee said as we made circles.

I smiled at him and raised an eyebrow.

He shrugged.

"Felt like reminding you," he said and winked before leaving.

"Care for another mind-blowing dance with the master?" Sammy said after giving me his rose.

I laughed and rolled my eyes at him.

"Master of injuries, you mean," I said, making him playfully scowl at me.

"Didn't know turning into an adult would make you mean," he joked before hugging me and leaving.

"You know, I should've taken advantage of our friendship to date you," Liam said as we were waltzing.

I rolled my eyes and cracked a smile.

"But then I wouldn't have enough food to feed you," he said, making both of us laugh.

"Take care of everyone like you always do when I leave," he said as he hugged me before disappearing into the crowd.
