Yeah, I think it's important for you to know how Austin turned, but I wasn't sure how to incorporate it into the story....So yeah...Here's what happened. Picture of Austin on the side is him when he's crying in the shower after he realizes he's all on his own now. (at the bed-and-breakfast) --------------->
Austin's POV
I was walking home on a cloudy night...All alone...Nothing could possibly go wrong right?....Wrong.
I had the erie feeling that I was being followed, but every time I looked back I didn't see anyone. I looked back one more time after a couple of blocks. When I turned back around, I ran right into a wall. I looked up and saw that the wall I had just run into had a face. That face did not look happy at all. I start to sputter an apology, but he stops me and says, "You humans disgust me. So innocent, yet they were never innocent to begin with."
"Humans?" I snort. "Let me guess, you're one of those freaks who think that you're superhuman, huh?" I start to walk away, laughing at the psychotic guy behind me when he grabbed my arm. I looked up only to nearly piss myself. This guy's eyes were silver, and there were fangs for God's sake poking out of his mouth!!
"You could say that. But little boy, I don't think, I know. Don't try to walk away or fight. It will only hurt more," He starts laughing at me. He pins me to the brick wall and bends my head so he has better access to my neck. I feel his fangs slip into my skin. It burns. God Damn it! This hurt like a bitch.
"St-stop! It hurts...Please...Stop!" I felt the hot tears streak down my cheeks. "P-Please...My family will get w-worried about m-me. Mister, Please. His fangs bit deeper into my neck. Someone stepped out of the shadows.
"Xavier, Let the boy go. He's young. And he's right, his family will get worried about him and come looking for him. You know better. Don't bite humans who are well and alive unless you plan to turn him...The Vampire police are on their way here. Someone called the human police and Officer Bander told Jared and he told Sheriff Brady. He is sending the Deputy to check everything out." He must be a friend of Xavier. I can't believe Vampires ACTUALLY exist! I mean even the human police are in on it!
"How the hell do they know I wasn't going to turn him?! Maybe I was." He shoved me down. The bricks were scratching my back as I slid down the wall.
"Maybe you weren't. Do it or I will." This new guy was scaring me.
"No, Please. I-I don't want to be a V-Vampire." Damn my voice for sounding so young.
"How old are you boy?" The new guy asked.
"I'm 18 today."
"Well congratulations. You're going to be 18 for the rest of your life." Xavier had a look of murder on his face. Their voices were slipping away, as were their faces. I'm feinting...Wow.
"You or me Xavier?"
"Me. I'm going to make this twerp hurt."
"Just don't kill him."
"I won't. Yet."
That was the last thing I heard before the world went black.
***************
I woke up and I felt a ripping at my neck and a burning in my throat. Something was pressed to my mouth. Something hot was running down my throat. I tried to struggle.
"I think that's enough. He's moving...Xavier! Stop. He's a vampire now. You know what happens when you drink too much Vampire blood." It's that one guy. Well I think he saved me. I'm not really sure if this counts as 'saving' me. They left, but the new guy wrote something on my arm. I look down and see it's an address.
When I got home my brother was laying on the sofa. He had fallen asleep reading again. I smelled something wonderful. Better than melted chocolate. Maybe my brother had a new cologne. I walk closer and my stomach growls. My fangs slip out and I feel like I was watching myself do this instead of actually doing it. Fangs (I suppose they are mine now) slip out and into his neck. I try to push myself off him, but the other me was too strong. He's going to kill James! My twin. My other half.
"Stop! You're killing him! That's your brother!"The other me didn't stop though. He kept going. James woke up and looked at ME. Not the guy on him, but at me.
