Look at them, sitting there all loved up. Not a care in the world about other people. Kissing every five seconds PDA alert, it's disgusting. Why did he have to choose her and leave me completely?
I'm talking about Harry, my ex-best friend. Ever since he started going out with Jessica, the head girl he's completely ignored me. Something tells me she's said something to make him ignore me because she's NEVER liked me. Me and Harry we best friends for twelve years, the age of five until seventeen. It's February 14th, valentine’s day and I used to spend it with Harry as friends, when we were both single...but now it's different, he has Jessica and who do I have? No one!
"This is our last year of school, I can't believe it. When we go to University we'll rarely see each other, it's going to be weird, Harry," I said as we walked along the streets of town.
"We'll stay in touch as much as we can, you're stuck with me now that you've met me," Harry said.
I smiled and looked down.
"Just make the most of this last year we have seeing each other every day and seeing everyone else every day, okay?"
"Yea, it's just weird. We're going to be eighteen as well, old enough to leave home, move out of the country, old enough to fend for ourselves."
"But we'll always need each other!" Harry said putting his arm around me.
"You're a soppy git you know that?"
"Yea," he smiled revealing his prefect teeth.
I sat in the living room waiting for Harry to come over, there was a knock at the door and I skipped joyfully to answer it.
"Hey curly, what took you so long?" I asked when I'd opened the door. "You only live next door."
Harry just entered as usual; it was his second home after all. He walked into the living room and slouched on the sofa, kicking off his shoes he put his feet on the coffee table and put the football on.
"Hi Soph, how are you?" I muttered under my breath sarcastically. Before slouching down next to him. "So are you going to answer my question?"
"What took you so long? You only live next door."
"I wasn't at home when I called asking if you were home, I was over at Jessica's house."
"Because she's my girlfriend."
"A week ago, the day we started back at school actually."
"Are you okay?"
"Yea, I'm fine," I lied.
