Shadows of a million suns
Shadows of a million suns,
Empty hearts, broken souls,
The dampened eye stares
Into jealousy, hatred, despair.
Beneath the light lies shadow,
Corrupting, destroying, collecting,
Tears forge the way for their
never ending parades
Grasping the ankles of
Innocents death is pulling,
From the murky depths below,
To his want he is fulfilling.
Soon we explore the darkness,
Unto us the shadows pounce,
But as the knot uncoils,
We find nothing but ourselves.
Corruption
Through blotted sun and hidden flame
Darkness took our minds.
Through cracked white walls and darkened stars,
The light was left behind.
Through hesitation and tempted fools,
It was planted in our minds.
Through unresistance and the cold,
Tools of a sickly kind.
Through ill thoughts and still shadows,
The glint of metal shone.
Through crowded bodys with breath no more,
The darkness is moving on.
Through spilt blood and empty life,
A dagger poised at night.
Through false words and bloody lies,
The darkness rose to light.
And I, I am no longer your poet,
but a bird lost in flight.
