Monica's POV

"Just.......just drop me off here. I can walk the rest of the way.." I say quietly, reverting my gaze toward my house.

Edward's hands tighten on the wheel.

"Alright...." I glance at Edward quickly as the car stops in front of my home. My eyes begin to sting from the look of anger of his face.

"Edward i..." I bite my bottom lip, regretting ever bringing up that i dislike his ability.

Oh god.....What if he...he...

I shake my head slightly, not able to finish the thought of him giving up on us.

Sighing, he looks over at me with sad filled eyes. "Maybe i could try better to not reading you thoughts....but i can't promise anything Monica, it isn't something i can control..."

I blink the tears away rapidly.

"I know you can't Edward, i am sorry for getting so worked up over it.....In all honesty i really don't mind you knowing what i am thinking sometimes. I'm just afraid that..that....." He grabs my chin and pulls my face toward his, making us see eye to eye.

"Of what Moni? What is it that makes you doubt me so much?" I bite my bottom lip.

 I don't doubt you! But i can't tell you either.....I'm sorry.

Edward narrows his eyes. "Why the hell not!" I grab his shirt, pulling him into a passionate kiss.

Please....please don't ask me to tell you....i'll end up telling you eventually but for now i...i can't.....

I pour all my love for him into the kiss, making him growl in the back of his throat.

Deepening the kiss, i wrap my arms around his neck. Goose bumps forming on my arms from the temperature of his skin. Edward moans heavily, pulling my tighter to his chest making his arousal full known. That's when i push him away slightly.

"Edward.....Remember our promise?" I whisper breathlessly. Edward nods, disappointment well known in his eyes.

"I remember....that doesn't mean i don't want you though..."

You see, once we started going out we promised each other we would take things slow.

I chuckle lightly, knowing he'd forgotten about earlier. I then get out of the car, blowing him a kiss and heading towards the front door.

"Ya know, just becuase you kissed me doesn't i will forget things......." He says loud enough for me to hear. A lump forms in my throat as he drives away.

Aw shit......

"Monica! Is that you?" Mom yells from the kitchen.

"Mom? How did you guys get here before me?" I then walk into the kitchen, seeing her eating a piece of my left over birthday cake. I chuckle, making her scowl playfully.

"What? I am pregnant you know." I shrug my shoulders before sitting next to her. "Anyways, we took the short cut through cedar grove. Scott was whining about missing some stupid show on cartoon network so we had to hurry....Sorry"  

"It's fine..... Hey, where's dad?" She makes the 'wait one second' gesture while she finishes chewing the bite of cake she has in her mouth, she then swallows. "He left right after dropping us off to go fishing with Charlie." I sigh heavily, laying my head on the table.

"At least someone's having fun..." I think back to the conversation me and Edward had earlier.

"What's wrong honey?" I gulp, trying to get rid of the lump in my throat.

"Edward knows mom...." She turns pale white, dropping the fork on the plate. I quickly clasp her hands in mine. "Don't worry....He just knows i'm hiding something...He doesn't really know about it.."

She sighs in relief.

"I don't know what to do mom, he won't let it go. It's not that i don't want to tell him know. I just...."

My bottom lip trembles slightly.

"He'll hate me for sure!" She grabs me into a hug as i sob.

"It's going to be alright honey. If he really loves you he will understand, not hate you." I hold onto her tighter.

"I sure hope you're right mom cause i know i'll end up telling him. I'm just dreading that day. If he takes their side i...i don't know what i'll do!" She rubs my back soothingly.
