Chapter 1

My life sucks. My name is Roze I'm 17 years old as of yesterday. I am average looking I'm 5'8 with black hair and blue highlights. I have light blue eyes a straight nose and plump lips. I'm skinny but not too skinny. Some people say I very pretty but I think myself as average.

A week ago me, my mom and dad move from Seattle Washington to sunny California. They're reason of moving was because my dad got a promotion. I found out a week later of the other reason.

~Flash back~

"Happy birthday!" My mum said in an overly cheerful voice to me when I came down stairs for breakfast.

"thanks." I mumbled as I sat down on a stool and mad me some count chocula (my favorite cereal)

My mom handed me a box wrapped up in a wrapping paper. I opened it up and inside was a PINK dress!

A lot of people think I'm emo or Goth by the way I dress but I'm not. I just can't help it if I hate most colors. And my mom knows I hate pink.

"Its pink" I said glaring at her.

"I know it's not your favorite but we are having guests over tonight and I need you to wear you to wear it please" she said with pleading eyes.

"Fine" I grumbled.

"Where is dad?" I asked.

"I'm sorry sweetie he got called into work to discuss.... A few things."

She said that last part like she was just making it up and it made me suspicious but I didn't call her out on it I just let it slid for now.

"But he'll be home tonight before the guests come" she continued.

"Ummm ok what time are they going to be here?" I asked.

"Around eight so you need go upstairs and get ready when you finished eating." With that she walks out of the room, but before she leaves she calls back, "I'm going grocery shopping be back later and walk out.

I finish eating and head upstairs to take a shower.

I turned the water on so it was just the way I like it not to hot, not to cold. I step in and washed up using my favorite strawberry shampoo.

I stayed in the shower for about an hour before turning it off and getting out.

I grabbed the pink dress and slipped it on.

It went down to my knees and was strapless. If it was black instead of pink it would have been very pretty. Hey maybe after tonight I will dye it black.

After I had the dress on I blow dried my hair and straightened it.

I put on black eye liner and mascara, and some brown eye shadow.

I put on some black skull earrings and my favorite bat necklace. See even tough I'm in pink I can still look like me.

I put black ring on each of my fingers and to top it off I put my spike belt over my dress. I looked in the mirror 'perfect' I thought to myself.

I heard a car pull up.

Must be one of my parents which means I can't go down stair because I sure if I went down there they'll make me take this stuff of.

So I sat do on my bed and started reading my favorite book that I've read about a hundred time Vampire Kisses.

About a half an hour later I heard someone else come home. So now they were both home.

I look at the clock great I was 7:45. I had fifteen minutes.

I put my book down and went to the mirror.

I re-did my hair since I had been lying down.

I heard the doorbell ring down stairs.
