Chapter Four

Cameron's POV

Her soft lips against mine melted me. I felt like I was kissing an angel. Her soft sweet smell filled my lungs. Her touch made my skin tingle. It was the most perfect kiss I have experienced.
It lasted for about two minutes and when we did separate, I couldn't stop smiling. Neither could she. Her big blue eyes shone in the late sun and her smile showed her perfect pearly teeth.

"Wow. I was not expecting that," She said, breaking the silence between us.

"Now, you know theres no one but you," I said, grabbing her arms.

"But you hardly know me?" She questioned, her eyes meeting mine.

"I know you well enough," I said, and planted another quick kiss on her plump lips.

With that, we both walked out of the park hand in hand. We decided to go back to mine and watch a film. Luckily, my mum wasn't in, so we had the whole house to ourselves.

We approached my home and she said, "Wow, you house is amazing!" She was looking up to my house, mouth wide open.

"Thanks," I opened the front door and was greeted to my golden retriever, Jake.

"You like dogs, right?" I asked, nervous of what her answer what going to be.

"Yeah, just a tad allergic..." She trailed off.

"Really?"

"No, stupid, I love dogs. Whats its name?" She asked, rubbing Jake on the bag and under the chin.

"His name is Jake," While she cooed over my dog, I went and chose a film. I chose a really scary one so we could cuddle up on the couch.

I walked back into Jake and Lexi and showed her the film.

"This alright?" I asked her, holding up the dvd case.

"Not a lover of scary films, but yeah I guess," She smiled and followed me into the living room. She was looking all around, as if she was looking for something

"You okay?" I questioned, putting the DVD in the player.

"Just admiring you house," She continued looking around, while sat on the sofa.

"Popcorn?" She nodded. Following me into the kitchen. I got a pack out and put it in a big bowl. As I turned around, a pair of arms wrapped around my neck. I put the bowl down and grabbed her waist. Lexi looking up to me, smiling.

"What?" I asked, smiling back.

"Nothing," she smiled again. I gave her a peck on the lips and let go of the hug.


Whilst watching the film, Lexi huddled into my shoulder. She was shaking so much, I had to turn it off.

"Wow, you are a wimp," I joked, looking down to her scared face.

"That was a pretty scary film!" I laughed at her and touched her nose with mine. She sat up and looked at me.

"Cameron?" She asked, with quite a worried face.

"Yeah?"

"What happens from here?" She looked down to her crossed legs, twiddling her fingers.

"What do you mean?" I was confused.

"We have kissed. Like proper kissed..." She started.

"Hold on," I stood up and then bent down onto one knee. "Lexi Alice Daniels, will you be my girlfriend?" She smiled and jumped towards me, both falling. While sitting on top of me, she kissed me. Jake started to bark at us. We let go and started to laugh. Suddenly, the door unlocked and opened. We immediately jumped up and stood there.

"Mum, erm, this is, erm, Lexi. My girlfriend," I hesitated. She looked her up and down and smiled.

"You've only just started that school and already got a girlfriend! Oh, Cameron. Anyway, hi sweetie," Lexi smiled and greeted herself. We all walked into the kitchen and Lexi's phone started to ring.

"Hello? Oh, I'm round Cameron's house. Ok. Ok. Alright, I'll be ready. Bye." She put the phone down and asked, "What's your address? My mum is coming to pick me up," I told her my address and we both waited for her mum to come.

"My mum is outside," She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her gently. She opened the door and ran to her mum's car. She waved once more before climbing into the car and driving off.
