I'm so sorry I've taken so long to update you guys! I've jsut been so busy and I've had a massive writers block, but I'm all good now!!!!

~

So that afternoon, as you can imagine, I was a total wreck. Overall everything just caught up to me – and I realized, if Aaron thinks he’s gay,  what chance does that leave me to fall in love properly?

As I curled into a shell of thick blankets on the lounge, watching black and white movies, the front door opened and I was met with, “Hello my dear sister, I’m home.”

“I’m in the living room,” I croaked.

As I watched the door, Toby, my brother came strutting through, though he instantly came rushing to me, when he saw the state of me.

“What’s wrong Jaimie?” He asked, as he gathered me up – blankets and all, and settled me on his lap.

“I’m immensely upset,” I stated.

“I can see that,” He replied.

“Toby, as you can tell, I’m not in the best condition right now – and once I tell you the source of my sadness you must promise you will not laugh, or even show off your dashing smile,” I told him.

“I can do that,” He promised.

“Okay well, the other week I was going to the toilet and I bumped into Aaron Welsh – and we both realized that where mates, so of course I was excited, but then he told me he’s gay. So, I ran – and today Lizzie dragged me into the janitors closet to see why I’ve been acting different – and halfway through our talk Aaron and his boyfriend came barging in, making out – and I lost it and well, yeah,” I explained.

Toby looked at the roof before stating, “Oh Jaimie, you’ve always been so unlucky.”

“That’s all you can say?! Seriously Toby?” I asked, getting very angry.

“Yeah,” he replied cheekily.

I gave him a long hard stare - and uncurled myself from all the blankets, which in result made me trip onto the ground, but I carried on! Marching up to my room and slamming the door shut.

I suddenly became extremely tired, so I waddled to my cosy bed and instantly fell asleep.

“Dear sister, I’ve come to apologize!” Toby knocked on my door, instantly waking me up.

“Then you may proceed and come in,” I mumbled, attempting to release myself from the bundle of blankets.

As Toby entered my room, he coughed back a laugh as he watched me untangle myself from my blankets.

“Okay here I go,” Toby started, taking palm cards out of his pocket. Wait… palm cards? Oh god. “Jaimie, my dear younger sister-of which I’ve loved for an extreme long time. Today I stand in front of you begging for your forgiveness,” getting down on one knee Toby gave me his puppy eyes, well they’re not really puppy eyes just the soppy eyes of a 20 year old man.

“It’s fine I suppose,” I huffed, “Joke all you like I’ve decided to become a nun,” I stated finally untangling myself from the blankets.

Toby started laughing like a ballistic maniac now; his eyes going watery and his cheeks transforming into deformed tomatoes.

“You can’t become a nun dear sister; you’ll get so unbearably hot in their outfit and might get heatstroke.”

Oh. I never thought about heatstroke…

My mobile phone suddenly started blaring out the lyrics of the Teletubbies theme song, my secret pleasure you could say.

“Could you get that Toby?” I asked, still trying to untangle myself from my many blankets.

He scoffed in response as he answered my phone, saying hello in the girliest voice imaginable.

“It’s for you,” Toby informed me, giving me an abrasive look.

“I’m aware of that Toby, clearly it’s my phone you genius,” I sarcastically replied, snatching the phone from his hands and greeting the caller.

“Hey it’s Lizzie,”

Great. She’s rung to ask how I’m holding up; the basic necessity in all friendships I suppose…

“Lizzie I’m fine, no I haven’t cried... okay well maybe I did but I’m fine now and yes that was Toby who answered,” I told her watching Toby stare at my fish, Beatrix.

“Oh okay that was all I wanted to ask,” She scoffed, pausing for a second before replying, “are you coming to school tomorrow? And if you are please tell me your choice of clothing will be actual clothing.”

Laughing I replied, “Clearly Aaron is not into me, since his idea of the word attractive starts with a male. So I’m not going to waste my time chasing him.”

Toby looked up from Beatrix giving me a concerned look. Toby may seem like a lunatic like me, but it’s clear he’s like most normal brothers; protective and lovable.

Jumping out of my thoughts I realised Lizzie was talking to me as I caught “just be yourself Jaimie, Aaron’s missing out on something great… I suppose. Oh, that’s my sister, I have to go now. Bye!” and that was the end of the conversation.

“Well that was very informative,” I sighed, laying on my bed and hugging my stuffed toy pig, Moses.

“If you like I can go to your school and punch the guy,” Toby offered, lying beside me.

Scoffing I punched Toby in the stomach, rolling on to my side to face him.

“Nah… I’ve got to get through this on my own.”
