A Musical Life- Burnham story

We all woke up in hospital beds. I don't think anything is scarier than that. My head was pounding, and I couldn't see much because my vision was blurred.


"Forrest? Are you awake?" My mom's voice was barely audible.


"Yeah Mom. What happened?"


"All I remember is that we skidded out of control, and hit a car head-on." Mom said. "We almost died. Sarah isn't doing too well, and neither is Andre. We are fine, just a little banged up, but Anna, Ali, and Alex are fine."

"Will we be able to go on tour?" Forrest asked innocently.

"You'll have to make that decision for yourself. With Andre in a coma, and three broken ribs, and Sarah with a concussion, it'll be hard. Andre should wake up soon though. The doctor said everything will back back to normal... Maybe..." Her voice trailed off.

"Maybe? What do you mean?" Forrest questioned nervously.

"Sarah's brain was damaged in the crash... She may not be able to talk ever again." Tears rolled down both of their cheeks, "She most likely won't remember anyone, or anything."

"WHY!?!?! WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!?!" Forrest sobbed in his bed.
