Peter's POV

I was mad with Jill for a variety of reasons. Firstly, she completely ignored my leadership and authority over her. She may be the "mother" but I am the "father" hence she still has to do what I say. Secondly, she picked a fight with Princess Tiger Lilly, the second-best (me being the first-best) hand-to-hand fighter in all of Neverland.

She was going to get herself killed-or worse, she was going to end up as Tiger Lilly's personal slave for the rest of her life. That would mean that she would leave the boys without any mother and I'd have to go back to being a single father.

How selfish is that? I thought to myself, Her crazy decisions aren't just affecting her, they're affecting the boys too!

Are you sure you're just worried about the boys? asked an annoying voice, Or are you worried about losing her because you know you'd miss her?

Shut up! I snapped at the voice and I went over to Jill.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I demanded, "Princess Tiger Lilly is one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in all of Neverland!"

"Well she hasn't fought me yet," Jill retorted, "She's overconfident and she's used to fighting men."

"So?"

"Girls are a completely different game. We are vicious in combat," she explained, sounding a little annoyed, "Plus she's a princess so I'm banking on the probability that everyone goes easy on her."

There was a look in her eyes that told me that she knew what she was doing and she did have a point about Tiger Lilly's fighting abilities, but I still worried about her. Just the other day she couldn't even sit up without getting sick and now she was picking fights.

I watched her intently as the Indian woman redid her war paint and braided her hair. She was one of the few girls I'd ever seen who looked amazing in war paint. Granted, I haven't met many girls, but Princess Tiger Lilly was said to be the most beautiful girl in Neverland and Jill blew her right out of the water.

The Indian woman said something to her and it made her blush. She looked adorable when she blushed. Her cheeks turned the sweetest color of rose as she tried to hide her face...

Why can't I get her out of my head?! I thought to myself, angrily pacing in mid air, What is wrong with me?

"Are you sure you don't want a mask?" the princess sneered, stepping into the circle, "I wouldn't want to scar that pretty face of yours!"

"Thank you for your concern but I am not the person you should be worried about your majesty," She calmly replied and walked into the circle with a mocking bow, "It's you."

Tiger Lilly's sneer turned into a frown as they began to circle each other. Jill's stance was perfect. Her muscles were tense and ready but her fluid movements refused to give away what she was going to do next. Even I had my twitches- and I usually fought in the air.

The Princess became impatient and she charged at her with a roar. I instantly looked at Jill, fighting the urge to jump in and stop the fight. To my absolute surprise she laughed and roared back, solidly holding her ground.

This reminded me of how little I really knew Jill. We had spent so much time together that she just seemed to blend in with the boys. She never spoke about her past or her time on the pirate ship but I never pushed her because I didn't think she'd want to talk about it.

Then again, I thought to myself, If you were held captive against your will on a pirate ship wouldn't you want to forget it?

You have been held against your will on a pirate ship, the same annoying voice from before replied, and you are just fine remembering and talking about it.
