I think this message is rather easy to decipher( did I spell that right). I was down town a few weeks ago because of a play I was working on and I happened to notice all the people starving and homeless and begging, etc. but what struck me the most was how other people reacted to it. I am a huge Green and Animal activist and for the past few months I've been working to do something to help people who aren't as blessed as I. The writing and the scheme of this poem is very simple. I normally don't write like this but I wanted to get the point across. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I saw a man,
dressed only in a rag.
Keeping everything he owned
neatly stored in his little black bag.
Today, I saw a women,
begging for food to eat.
Her husband threw her out,
and she is trying to make ends meet.
Today, I sat a child,
quivering in the cold.
his face so full of youth;
his past leaves secrets untold
Today, I saw a crowd,
Walking in the street straight by.
Leaving all these people alone
in the world to just die.
Today, I decided to take a stand,
help them make all things seem right.
Giving them food and love they need,
and a place to sleep at night.
