~ ~ Chapter Twenty Four ~ ~

Another loud growl vibrated up my chest and through my throat as it erupted from my mouth. I could feel my eyes darkening as this she-wolf glared up at me, not showing a hint of fear or panic in her eyes and her scent hadn’t changed in the slightest either.

The weirdest part was, she didn’t really have a scent. She wasn’t human – that much I knew, but I couldn’t locate an exact scent just for her.

“Who,” I growled furiously, bringing my face down closer to hers as I pinned her down flat on the ground, hands on either side of her head so she couldn’t move and I sat on her stomach with my legs pinning hers down, “Are you?”

The girl stayed glaring up at me and I could see she was analysing my anger and posture. Slowly the corner of her lips spread up into a smirk, “It’s unheard of for a she-wolf to mate, but not join his pack – especially the one of an Alpha.”

I grabbed her head and yanked it up off the ground, a deep thunderous growl echoing throughout the alley as I brought her face within inches of my own, “I said; who the heck are you!” I demanded before slamming her back onto the ground. I was starting to lose control of my wolf and she saw this girl a major threat. I knew I needed to calm down, but everything about this she-wolf was getting me riled up, getting my inner wolf riled up.

The girl winced slightly from the pain, but showed nothing else as her eyes scrunched shut for a moment before snapping back open with anger, “Don’t do that again,” she growled, warningly.

“Make me,” I retorted, raising her head back up again and slamming her back down just to prove my point that I’m not playing games right now.

A loud growl echoed up from her chest, causing my body to start shaking with anger as I returned the same noise back at her. My inner wolf was gaining more and more control with each passing second. I just needed to have answers and I needed them now.

“Why are you stalking me?” I hissed through clenched teeth.

“Who said I was following just you?” she snapped back, grabbing my arms and trying to pry my hands free of their grip on her collar, but I wouldn’t budge.

“Fine!” I snapped with irritation, “Why are you stalking my pack?”

She looked up and met my eyes, glaring furiously, “It’s only fair, you tried to stalk my Uncle! I'm just returning the favour!” She growled and with one massive heave, she shoved me off her, sending me flying back a good few metres and crash landing into the ground.

Growling furiously as I jumped back up to my feet, ignoring the sharp ache that ran through my back, I glared at her with blackened eyes. My body shaking furiously as a dangerous snarl escaped my mouth and within moments, my body was unwillingly changing into a wolf.

Anger flooded my veins, I was seeing red as I kept my eyes fixed on the she-wolf that posed a threat to me. She didn’t reveal any emotion on her face as she watched my change happen so quickly, that I was lunging at her in wolf form within a matter of seconds.

My teeth snapping dangerously close to the side of her face as she managed to move to the side and avoid the full brunt of my attack. I didn’t want to kill her, just scare her enough into telling me what she wants.
