Chapter Five

Mason Gagner ----------------------}

(Mason POV)

I stood right outside of Eden’s ‘room’ as Piedro and Rick discussed their run.  They would be running off territory for a hour or two, hunting and see if any new Packs formed, so that gave us time to get Eden out.  Jarael, Calvin, Deeks, and George were waiting on my command to start running back on our land.  Our plan was to get Piedro and Rick out of the way by telling them they saw Rogues traveling on our territory.

Now

Uh Mason, we actually ran into some Rogues, but they said they are willing to help. George thought.

Haha, that makes it more authentic. Keith thought; which was on the porch talking to one of the wolves standing guard, trying to figure out the next week times for patrolling.

“We need to speak to Peidro.” I heard, George say to the guard

“Why?”

“We saw some Rogues hunting on our territory.” I smirked a little, trying not to laugh, but made my face completely neutral when Peidro and Rick came running passed me.  I looked into the room and saw Eden sitting on the edge of the bed, smiling.   I heard two sets of wolf paws hitting the ground as I walked into the room.

They are on their way after them with four of the guards. Keith thought.  I looked over to the guard I was standing next to, he looked at me weirdly.  I punched him in the face, his head bouncing into the wall behind the wall.  I rushed over to Eden and picked her up and carried her out the door.  I walked down the stairs and sidled against the door as two wolves ran through the door and up the stairs.  I looked around the corner and saw Keith fighting another guard, as I turned around, my face was met with a fist from one of the guards that went up stairs.  I almost dropped Eden, who was keeping her head down, when I stumbled but I kept her safe as I ran out the door.  As I ran, a wolf tackled me, causing me to drop Eden.  She yelped and stood up, she got in a fighting stance, but I pushed her away as another wolf lunged at her.

“Go, Eden, run as fast as you can!!!” She nodded and ran

I’ll go and protect her. Deeks thought as he shifted and chased after her. I told him thanks as I killed the one wolf that I was fighting, I shifted and charged at another one, not noticing the one that was coming straight for me, but George tackled it and went for the throat.  It dodged and mulled right into his side, cracking some ribs.  I killed the one I was fighting and tackled the one that was about to kill George.  I noticed that Jarael and Calvin were fighting one wolf as Keith ran in the direction Deeks and Eden went.

Jarael and Calvin, let’s go now!

Right behind you Mason. Jarael thought as he came after me, Calvin and George followed behind, we ran for several minutes when I finally asked George if he was alright.

You okay?

Yeah I’m alright.  Do you know where we’re going? George thought, that’s a good question, where are we going?  We were following Eden’s scent and we finally caught up to Eden, Deeks, and Keith.  We were heading southeast towards South Carolina.  I realized something; this is the general direction Xavier went.  We ran for ran for three hours straight when I smelt some wolves behind us.

Don’t worry; they’re some of the Rogues we talked to. Deeks explained, I nodded and ran up beside Eden, I noticed that she was feeling better as she ran in this direction.

I feel Xavier’s soul; it’s practically guiding me in this direction. Eden thought.  I nodded again and continued to run beside her when I saw two wolves running beside us in the deeper parts of the forest.
