A Girl With Super Powers Chapters 1-2

"It's open!" I said while I jumped off the bed.  

Stephen walked in then and his eyes went from bored to huge and amused. I smiled and blushed.  

"Nice dress."  

"Thanks." I said while blushing.  

"Come with me your training begins now."  

I stood there for a few seconds, "What? Wait! What training?"  

"Hmm. I hope it's you. The prophecy said a girl about-"  

"What prophecy?"  

"You are you supposed to stop the wars between this island, Kin Cato, and our enemies island, Jaramillo."  

"How?"  

"I don't know my father never told me how yet..."  

" Well take me to him!"  

"Uh, I can't do-"  

"I couldn't take it this. I needed to see him. So I took his hand and started down the hallway.  

"Um, Kacy his room is the other way."  

"Right, so you'll take me to him?"  

I turned around and looked from him to us holding hand. I blushed and let go of his hand and started walking the other way.  

"Well? You'd better lead the way, if you're coming."  

We started walking when I guess one of the servants said, "Prince Stephen your father would like-oh hello miss Kacy. Uh he would like to see miss Kacy."  

"Alright Jane. You may continue your work. Actually we were just headed that way. Come on Kacy."  

When we got to his door my heart started beating faster.  

"You ready?"  

I nodded. I didn't think my voice could take it. It wasn't because I was nervous or scared or anything like that. I just didn't like what was going on in this place.  

"Good luck. He gave me a brief hug then opened the door for me. I blushed and when I didn't move right away he gave me a little push inside. I heard the door close with a loud BAM!  

I went inside with a confident face...at least I hoped I did.  

"Good evening Kacy. How are you today?"  

I looked at him straight in the eye, but he didn't do anything but sit in his throne lazily.  

"Just fine."  

He stood up and walked back and forth.  

"I see you've meet my son Stephen."  

I nodded.  

"As you should know he told you about the prophecy and that you're training should begin soon. You are to first learn the basics of your powers. Once you learn those you are to move on to the more complicated and to defeat our enemies. Any questions?"  

Nice to break it to me, "Um, yes...I have powers?"  

"You should have noticed them already," he said more to himself. "If you don't mind me asking how old are you?  

"I just turned sixteen. Why?"  

"Excellent. Your training will begin tomorrow then. Melanie please escort her out. Good-bye Kacy."  

"Wait! What?"  

Melanie took my hand and shooed me out the door. I saw Stephen with a glass cup pressed against the door. When he saw me, he put it behind his back.  

"So what'd he say?"  

I just stood there for a minute then walked away.  

"Wait Kacy! Where are you going? And what did he say?"  

"My training starts tomorrow and to investigate." I said softly.  

"Investigate what?"  

"Come with me."  

He followed me into my room and to the door with the stairs. I showed him the door.  

"What does this lead to?"  

"Uh, I don't know I've never been in this room before."  

"Well now you can say you have. Come on."  

We walked all the way up there and boy was it a flight of stairs. The room was half the size of the castle or I could say it was big.  

"It looks like an attic." He said.  

He started looking in a bunch of different chests, but I chose one that was so small it could fit in your hand. It weighed nothing but a swished it around and you could hear something in it.  

I tried opening it, but it needed a key.  

"Shoot."  

"What's wrong?" He asked.  

"Well first there is a chest I can't open, second I don't know where the key is, and third we are probably in a room nobody wants us in."  

"Well don't think of it that way...at least we know we need a key and I know a couple places to start looking. Come on."

Chapter 2  

Training with a Monk

"How can you be so sure it will be where you think it is?" I asked.  

"Because...I just know."  

"Well thanks for clarifying."  

"You're welcome."  

I stuck my tongue at him when he turned the corner, like a five year old would do. We kept turning hallways until we came to the maid Jane.  

"Prince Stephen your father has called for dinner in the main dining room. But miss Kacy will be dining in her room."  

"Why?"  

"Because your father just asked for you to dine with him and nobody else."  

"Fine. See you later Kacy."  

Jane told me to hurry up to my room and said that another maid would bring my dinner to me. I got to my room and I decided that I would go check out that chest. When I got up there the chest was not where I put it. It was on the floor next to a crowbar.
