"Kat, just trust me. Just trust him, okay?"

"Fine."

  Kate and I weren't mad at each other. I've seen her mad at people, and it's very obvious. I just think it's a touchy subject for her. I closed my eyes, hoping I'd stay asleep for five hours straight. I wanted to take as much time as I can sleeping.



~Five Hours Later~

"Ah! Light!" I exclaimed as I opened my eyes.

"There's not much light, it's only nine A.M.." Alyce said.

"Still, it hurts." My eyes were throbbing with sudden impact of light.

Alyce laughed.

"My pain is a joke to you." I rolled my throbbing eyes.

I shielded my face with my hand and pulled down the visor to protect me from the sun.

"Are we there yet?" I asked, after the pain relieved.

"Almost. Probably...two more minutes."

"Technically we're there."

"I guess, Kat." Alyce laughed.

Alyce parked the car on the other side of the street away from the Gene-Mod Institution to keep from looking suspicious. I woke Kate and Aaron.

"We're here?" Kate mumbled with her eyes still closed.

"Yes, now get up." I persisted.

Kate opened her eyes and got out of the car like the rest of us did.

"A stupid mistake to do this where there is light, but oh well. Run." I said and started running towards the building with the rest following.

  Just as Aaron got to the side of a building, we heard a door opening. I looked around the corner and saw someone exiting the building. Niko. I held my breath as he came near us, but he only got in the van that had taken us hostage before.

  I counted the seconds, waiting for Niko to start the van and leave. Finally, he did. I motioned with my hand for them to follow me. I crouched as I ran up the stairs and went through the door. I walked fast into a random opened door.

"This is a closet." Alyce said it like I was an idiot.

"I know that now, but we need to get somewhere we can stay for a couple hours until they lock up for the night." I whispered closing the door to think.

"Do you know where the bathroom is at?" Aaron asked.

"I remember it. Of course we have to remember, since we've 'lived' here for ten years." Kate chipped in.

"Why are we talking about a bathroom?" I asked, slightly confused.

"We stay in the bathroom until they close up." Kate briefly explained.

"Follow me." Alyce said, opening the door.

  The four of us walked swiftly down the hallway, not making eye contact with anyone. We made a left turn down another hallway. Then into a door that led to the bathroom. We all piled into one stall and locked the door. Right after, someone walked in.

  I held my breath again while the woman (it was a woman's restroom) tried opening the door. Alyce set her feet on the ground to show that "someone" was in there. The woman bent over to look under and saw the feet.

"Sorry." she said and went in another stall.

Alyce mumbled back, "It's okay."

Really it wasn't. It was slightly weird.

After almost getting caught three times, we waited long enough for the Institution closed. I unlocked the stall and we moved out of the bathroom. Halfway towards the System Room, I heard voices. I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Night workers." I muttered.

"Just keep going." Alyce whispered.

  I took her advice, and we kept going. The door to the System Room was locked. Alyce just walked right through it though and unlocked it. When we all got in, she locked the door behind to prevent any suspicion/someone coming in. I told Aaron to get started.

After multiple times of trying to get in, he said: "This is the wrong computer."

  We followed him to the right computer. Which he easily got into. A message popped up. Kate saw it, but I only saw the outline. It was too dark.
