Clockwork Angel- Jem's POV

Jem and Tessa first meet

FIRST OFF!!!! This is NOT my characters, diologue or scenes!!! The novel Clockwork Angel belongs to Cassandra Clare (an amzing author). HOWEVER, I am re-writing a scene from her book (Clockwork Angel) In a different point of veiw (POV). Originaly, in the published book, she write this scene in Tessa's POV, but I am writing this in Jem's POV. So this is a fan fiction. It's my first fan fiction, so ya. Hope you enjoy my retelling of the scene when Tessa and Jem first meet. :) The categories are fan fiction and fanatsy. :) You might be also thinking if the  characters, diologue or scenes, arent mine, then what is? Well it's my interprtation and discriptions on Jem's thoughts and feelings as he meets Tessa for the very first time.  If you want me to write more, please let me know.

Thinking about my life, as I played my violin, was something I did often. Honestly, I knew I didn’t have much time left; the disease was eating me alive. Even though Will insisted on giving me those drugs, they were still killing me, just at a slower rate.

The shuffling of feet and the sound of my bedroom door opening was enough to snap me out of my daze. My initial thought was Will, no one else ever came into my room; they knew not to disturb me when I had my violin.

“Will? Will, is that you?” I questioned as I spun around in my chair. However, it wasn’t Will Helondale that stood in front of me, instead there was a confused, scared looking teenage girl. “You’re not Will.” I stated. The girl stared at he floor in embarrassment. Her chocolate-brown, curly hair was sticking out from her ponytail and her casual attire was stained with dirt. It was then that I remember Charlotte had told me that there would be someone staying with us at the institute. 

“I’m so sorry,” she replied, looking everywhere but at me. I could tell wanted to be anywhere, but in my room with me.

“That’s all right.” I placed my Violin back in the case that was sitting on my bedside table; her eyes followed the shiny instrument as I put it away. “You’re Miss Gray, aren’t you? The shape-changer girl. Will told me a bit about you.” 

“Oh,” she muttered.

“Oh?” I raised my eyebrows at her reply. “You don’t sound terribly pleased that I know who you are.”

“It’s that I think Will is angry with me. So whatever he told you--” She was cut off by my laughter.

“Will is angry with everyone,” I stated. “I don’t let it color my judgment.” I realized I was still holding the violin bow, so I placed it beside the case, not bothering to pack it away. “I should have introduced myself earlier,” I told her. “I’m James Carstairs. Please call me Jem—Everyone does.”
