(Jennifer’s POV)
I’m glad I my mate! I have a secret surprise for my friends for putting up with me though. Since I know I’m not their mate then I can figure out who their real mate is and I know both of theirs!
“You two may want to sit down for this new and super shocking revelation. Nathan is not my mate. It turns out my real mate was possessing you. But don’t be disappointed because I know who your real mates are!” I told them.
“Really?!” they both shouted at the same time. It was quite comical actually.
“Yes, I do! Nathan, your mate is a girl at school, who you have known for a long time. In fact, I have no earthly idea how you have never figured it out before now but I guess that doesn’t really matter now. I’m not going to tell you her name because that would be cheating.” I giggled. Giggled, what the hell?! Is having a soul mate making me go soft?! It better not!! Ugh, I will kill him if he makes me into a softie! Wait! I don’t even know his name! Whoa, major side trip there, anyway!
“Okay, Peter, it’s your turn! Your mate will be a foreign exchange student, who will be staying with me since we are like best friends, and she is a 200 year old full-blooded werewolf. Her birth country is Spain, so she does have a Spanish accent, but speaks English very well. Her name is Catherine Carter and she is 5’ 6”, with wavy black hair, a curvaceous frame with a tan skin tone, and unusual blue eyes.” I told him all the basic information on Cat.
“You know what? She sounds very familiar, but I just can’t put my finger on it.” he replied.
“I know! She was in your pack once before, but you would have been too little to actually remember her properly. She was your baby sitter too but neither of you ever made eye contact with each other long enough to actually tell that you were mates.” I told him.
Whew, now that’s out of the way, I can teach Peter how not to shift on the full moon. This should be fun!
