I threw on a sweater and shorts as I threw my practice clothes, flag silk, poles, and wraps into my practice bag.

I hopped in their car, and turned the music up. Today was practice. As Esther pulled into the school and parked the car, Lauren and I jumped out to make it to the locker room before the bell rang.

Students poured into the Locker room with Tuesday attitudes. (Aka I hate you all moods). I opened my locker and threw my bag in and locked it when a hand suddenly wrapped around my waist from behind.

"Hey there baby girl," Bryan whispered in my ear. His breath on my neck sent a uneasy chill down my spine.

"What are you doing in the girl's locker room?" I asked him as I untangled myself from his arms.

"Came to tell my girl that she looks super hot in these jean shorts," he said.

"Really? Are you serious?" I asked annoyed.

"What? Why are you mad?" he asked with confusion written all over his face.

"Are you not going to wish me luck at my first practice of the year?" I asked pushing him away from me. This is the third time he's forgotten. I might sound like I was making way too big of a deal out of this, but colorguard was a big deal to me.

He started laughing. The kind of laughing where you grab your stomach because you feel like you're going to pass out. Once he regained himself, there was an I'm-so-gonna-kill-you look on my face.

"It's just colorguard! it's not that big of a deal," he stated while still trying to contain his laughter.

I really didn't think that laughing at me and calling the sport I has worked so hard for worthless was really giving him any Boyfriend points here.

"You know what? I worked hard to get on this team to make you and my friends happy, ok? So the least you could do, is show some acknowledgment!" I said angrily while stomping out the door leaving Bryan behind.

Pushing the locker room doors open, I ran to meet up with Lauren and Esther. I didn't want to deal with Bryan or anyone else right now. How could he just forget these things? They were important to me!

"Wow. You look extremely pissed," as Esther so kindly put it.

"Yeah. Bryan pretty much told me that colorguard was stupid and unimportant after all I did to get on to the team. how rude is that?" I angrily justified myself.

"I agree whole heartedly with you. He has no right to go discourage you about your success! It's very important," Lauren told me sincerely.

"Bryan isn't always so nice anyways. You're too good for him," Esther said.

I smiled back at them and we continued walking to class.

After School, Lauren and I practically ran to make it to practice. When we arrived, I realised we were early.

"Guess we have extra time to get ready" I shrugged at Lauren.

When we opened the doors to the gym, we were greeted by a surprising sight. Alicia and Reid battling it out in the middle of a group of people. I gasped at the sight before us and Lauren and I shared a look.

"You can't do this! I won't let you!" Alicia screamed although her voice was coated with desperation and guilt.

"I don't care, Alicia. You slept with Harry. We are SO over!" Reid yelled and even I flinched back at the power in his voice. I even felt a little bad for Alicia, she was being humiliated in front of the whole team. That was cruel, even if she cheated on you. Isn't breaking up bad enough?

Alicia's usually perfect baby face was stricken with sadness. Her mascara smeared underneath her eyes and even more tears pooled in her eyes.

"Please Reid... I'm so sorry... Please don't leave me..," Alicia practically begged but Reid did not care. He walked out the doors and slammed them behind him.

She cried out when he left and Marigold and Lily took her into the locker room away from the eyes of the team.

"What the hell?" I asked Lauren.

The whole team exchanged glanced and hushed whispers as soon as the section leaders were gone.

"Okay, I'll be leading the practice today," Lily smiled as she popped out of the locker room. We all hurried to grab a practice flag when she started listing off instructions. We didn't see Alicia for the rest of the practice.

Before Esther dropped me off, Lauren and I had filled her in about the practice. She didn't seem shocked at all. She even seemed happy.

I was currently sitting on my bed doing math, when my phone buzzed.

Lauren: What's up girl?

Emma: Math Homework. You?

Lauren: You're SO not going to believe what I just heard!

Emma: What? Tell me, Lauren.

Lauren: Some of the girls believe that it was you who broke up Alicia and Reid so you could get Reid all to yourself. How hilarious is that?!?

Emma: that's actually not funny at all. Has Alicia heard this?

Lauren: I don't believe so. Why? Do you like him?

Emma: No. No, I just don't want Alicia to hate me anymore than she already does.

I put down my phone and continued working on my math when I got a message from an unidentified number. Interesting.

Unknown: Would you like to join me for dinner, before the football game on Saturday?

Emma: Who is this? And how did you get my number?

Unknown: It's Reid. I got your number from Bethany. So, would you like to join me?

I had to think about this one. Reid seems like a nice guy and I'm sure I'd have a great time, but what would Lauren and Esther say? What about those rumours? Besides, I have a boyfriend. Even if I'm mad at him right now.

Emma: Reid, you do know I do have a boyfriend, right?

Reid: Yeah. Bryan. I was just asking you as a getting to know you thing. As friends, of course.

Emma: okay, well sure then. Send me the details later, ok?

Reid: sounds good.

After the conversation with Reid, I was confused on my problem. Do I tell Lauren and Esther? I wouldn't want word getting to Alicia. Besides, it's just us going as friends.

I don't have to tell them anything.

[NEXT CHAPTER]

While Emma and Reid plan their secret get-together, both of the other girls are keeping secrets of their own. Who will spill first? Or will a shocking event leave one of them speechless?
