Panic Attacks and Parents:
When I went home the next day, I saw my parents in the kitchen through the window.
Nothing new about that.
Actually, it's kind of relieving.
Knowing where they are, I mean.
I sound like a parent.
The ones that stalk your every move.
Where are you?
Who were you with?
You can’t date until you’re fifty.
Know what I mean?
I continued to walk to the front door and took out my keys.
Frank insisted on driving me home but I refused.
I wanted to go alone.
I unlocked the door with my keys and locked the door behind me. I walked into the kitchen and mom's head quickly turned towards me.
"Gerard Arthur Way, come give momma a hug!" Mom yelled with her arms wide apart.
"What's with everybody and using my full name?" I giggled and hugged my mom tightly.
"I can't believe my baby's finally using his voice, oh, Gee-bear!" She squealed and hugged me even tighter.
It was like she was crushing my lungs or something, "Mom- Can't- Breathe!"
"Sorry, dear, I just love you so much!"
"I love you, too, Ma." I chuckled and kissed her forehead.
"Don't I get a hug?" Dad asked from the kitchen, sipping his tea.
He put his tea (hot leaf juice) down and spread his arms wide.
I ran and hugged him tightly, "Do you still want me to be more like Mikey?"
"No, I want you to be more like yourself."
"I love you, dad." I mumbled.
"I love you, too, Gee."
I pulled away and then took a deep breath.
"Well, she was just seventeen!
You know what I mean?
And the way she looked was way beyond compare.
How could I dance with another?
Since I saw her standing there." I belted out.
I winked at my parents and walked to Mikey's room, dancing slightly.
"Well, my heart went boom!
When I crossed that room!
And I held her hand in mine!"
I giggled and saw Mikey's door open and he burst out of his room and enveloped me in a tight hug.
"Gee!" He yelled.
"Hey, Mikey." I smiled and patted his head.
"Is Happy Gee back?" He asked me, eyes wide.
"Let's just say that he's visiting for now, alright?" I mumbled.
He pursed his lips and nodded.
"At least you're talking."
"And singing." I winked.
He shoved me lightly and walked with me to his room.
"Are you serious? I'm allowed in the Mikey Cave?" I asked, astounded.
"Yeah." He grinned
We entered the room and the whole gang yelled, "Gee!"
I giggled and ruffled Mikey's hair.
"Dude, the hair!" He whined.
I laughed my high pitched laugh and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Oh, wow, a party without me?" A voice scolded.
I turned around and saw Jada looking slightly offended.
I laughed and dragged her in.
"How'd you get here?" I asked.
"Oh, wow... Your voice is still new to me..." She blinked a few times and everyone laughed. I quietly giggled.
"It's new to me, too..." I mouthed with a wink.
"Ugh, keep talking to me!" She shoved me lightly.
"I need to talk to you." I said seriously.
"Yes!" She squealed and held my hand to drag me out of the room.
We said our bye's to the group and went to my room (well I got dragged) then locked the door.
"Spill." She practically ordered me. She sat on the bed and was shaking in anticipation.
"Okay, okay... Guess what?"
"I ain't guessing, hurry!" She whined
"Am not, darling, use proper grammar! Anyway... I asked Frank to be my boyfriend and he said..." I grinned.
"Said...?" She asked excitedly. She leaned forward, the excitement prominent in her eyes.
"I said yes!" A sudden voice shouted from the balcony.
I almost fainted in fear and surprise and Jada screamed in shock as a youthful Frank smirked at us both.
"Gossiping like old women, eh?" He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me.
I blushed because of the fact that he was my boyfriend (fucking finally!) and because he caught us talking about him.
"Ever heard of a door, Iero?" Jada scolded playfully.
"Yeah, but I don't play by the rules, Truscott." He winked and she rolled her eyes.
"Ugh, two flirts dating, heaven help me!" She yelled at the ceiling then lay down on her back with her arms spread apart.
