Jail Bait

Visitors day. I hated it. That meant Camilla was gone visiting her little brother and her Mom, while I was stuck in here, by myself, playing solitare.

Very badly.

Frustrated, I tossed the cards onto the floor. I looked out of the cell door to see if anybody was walking by. Once I saw the coast was clear I climbed underneath my bunk and took out the piece of brick that I loosened with my fist a few years ago. I may have broken my fist because of it, but it was worth it.

One last time, I looked to see if anyone was walking by, still no one. I took the pack of cigarette's out of my shirt and put them in the small space before putting the brick back into place. I climbed out from underneath the bunk and sat looking at my arms. My sleeves where pushed up, letting you see my scars.

They weren't from me. Not intentionally anyway. Most of them where from my 'Mother' and my step-Father. When I wasn't being a 'good girl' they would take their cigarettes or anything they where smoking and burn me. Sometimes they even just used a lighter to do it.

Some nights, I could still feel the hot, tingling sensation of my flesh burning. If I was really thinking about it, I could still smell my skin buring. I honestly didn't even know why I smoked. I used to dread the smell off cigarette smoke. Or any smoke for that matter.

God, I was so messed up it wasn't even funny! With a sigh I stood up and sat on my bunk, pushing my jumpsuit sleeves down as I did so. Looking at the brick wall in front of me I began to space off. After about ten minutes I heard the faint sound of keys jingling and turned my head to the front of the cell.

I saw the guard I was talking to earlier looking for the key to unlock the door. What was his name again. Ether? Anton? Ester? Something like that.

“What do you need?” I asked him rudely. He looked at me with a sigh.

“You're wanted.” he said curtly, opening the door. I glared at him and stepped out of the lonely, small cell. I followed behind what's his name, getting more and more nervous with every footstep. Where was I going? I know it wasn't to the visitors center but I couldn't help but hope...

No Reagan. You can't feel anything, your not allowed too. Ever. I sighed and looked at my feet, taking the tiring walk to where ever I was supposed to be going. Ethan took another right turn, for the third time in a row I sighed and stopped walking annoyed.

“Where am I supposed to be going?” I asked him frustrated.

“The wardens office, now let's go.” he said walking back to me brusquely. He grabbed my arm and tried to pull me with him. On instinct, I balled my left hand into a fist and sent my fist flying to his face, he quickly blocked it. I cursed lowly under my breath, and raised my leg up to kick him in the chest. I didn't care if he towered almost a foot above me or not, no one touched me and got away with it. Again, he blocked me easily.

Okay, now I was getting pissed off. It was like he could read my mind. I narrowed my eyes at him and got in fighting stance. He let out a small chuckle and I sent a right hook to his face, this time I hit him. I smirked happily when I read his jaw pop. He didn't seem to like it though. He advanced on me and sent a kick straight to my stomach, making my breathing halt. I gasped and charged after him again. He dodged me and swept his legs under mine, causing me to fall flat on my face.

My breathing was getting faster by the second. I couldn't take it anymore! Usually, I beat the guards but this one? I just couldn't fucking win! I kicked his legs out from under him and he feel on his back next to me. I noticed he was breathing raggedly as well.

I waited a moment for my breathing to slow down before deciding to speak.
