It's been five years since I left the wretched place, and I had no plans on going back. I was six when I left and I'm eleven now. The only way I survived on my own was from the kindness of strangers.
They would let me stay with them like a week at a time sometimes. Others would want me to stay longer, but I couldn't I had no idea if those people were still after me. God I really hope not. A lot of people took pity on me because I'm so small, but I'm strong. I've gotten stronger since I left.
I've found many men experienced in the art of weapons and they taught me more, only after a moment’s hesitation. Some of the women I met would teach me all about plants. Which ones are good to eat, or which ones will heal. How I tell the difference between things. I even met a tracker once. She showed me how I could heighten my senses with my chakra, and how to look for a path. Sometimes a branch would be broken or the Earth would be disturbed in places. I learned how to be observant.
I was really good at angles, and being able to tell where projectiles would land. I could almost always hit my target with unexpected events. I was intelligent. I had to be to survive on my own. I thought differently than most people. I think that is one of the reasons I can't see gen-jutsu. I could also see the chakra of others better. I've always been able too. I don’t' know why though. Maybe from my mother or father. All I know is I'm stronger, and smarter than your average eleven year old.
After all the cushy time I've had with people, I really was not used to running again. My feet hurt from running so much. I was going to sleep in a tree tonight. And I can tell you not looking forward to that.
I stopped by the edge of the Leaf village. I figured this would be a good place to stay. Wow the Leaf that really brings back memories. I walked up to a tree and concentrated my chakra to the bottom of my feet, so I could walk up the side of it.
I got to a branch high up and sat down against the trunk. I leaned my head against it and closed my eyes.

"What are you doing out here" a steely voice call bringing me out of my sleep. I looked up and panic rose in me. Standing in front of me was a man with an animal mask covering his face. Correction there were four men standing with four different kinds of animal masks on.
I looked up with a mask of my own not conveying any emotion what so ever. I tried to keep my voice steady as I spoke. "I'm just about to leave. I mean your village no harm." Okay phew my voice did not give away my alarm.
"You do realize that you are not allowed to be in Leaf land without special permission" said the one to my right. Okay then I really started to panic I didn’t mean any harm I just have no place to go. Why can’t they just understand that? "Why don’t you just come with us?"
"Come peacefully and we won’t hurt you" called the one from the middle. So what other choice did I have but to follow?

So we walked and walked and then walked some more. The trip wasn’t complete waste though, if I was going to die at least I would get to see an amazing place like the Leaf village first. After around 10 minutes the anbu and I got to a big red building in the center of the village. Curiosity winning the best I asked "What are you going to do to me."
"No talking" the tall one said. Okay well I wasn’t going to get to know yet well I just hope it’s not a painful way to go. Climbing high, we finally reached the top of the stairs. The short anbu that I'll call Frank knocked on the door.
"Enter" called an almost ancient voice. The midsized anbu, that is now Phil, opened the door and, we all walked in. Sitting in a chair looking all professional was a man that was probably here since the beginning of time.
"Lord Hokage" all four anbu said and bowed at the same time. Then there was me just standing in the middle looking like an idiot because I'm the only one who didn’t do anything.
"Who is this" the old man asked nodding at me.
"We found her up in a tree in the northwest area of the forest." Phil informed. Way to be specific Phil it would have just been easier to say in a tree, or is it just me?
"Hmm" the hokage hummed as he scratched his chin."Well child will you tell us your name and what happened to you, to make you wind up in our little village."
