“Deanna! You bitch! Open up!!!!!” Wills shouted from outside the door. I groaned... and looked at my clock. 7 AM?! What the fuck?!
“Go away! It’s too early!!!” I shouted back.
“I wanna know about your date!!!” she said, excitedly. Oh my god.... How the hell does she know?! It’s as if she has male ESP, like if someone is around a male or gets laid she knows!!! It’s crazy. I grumbled and got up from my mattress on the floor and went to answer the door.
“How the hell did you know?” I asked. She giggled, coming in.
“Bus driver... asked me who the handsome boy was you were with!” she said, ‘SO! Who was it?!” I smiled and sighed.
“Joe...” I breathed, a smile erupting on my face.
“Oh my god, the bus hottie?!” she asked, intrigued. I nodded and she just sighed.
“He’s so fucking hot.....” she replied. I chuckled as I pulled out my uniform for work.
“So..... what did you learn about your mystery man?” she asked, fixing her name tag.
“That’s the weird part,” I said, “Nothing...... Nothing well valid....” I stepped into the bathroom to brush my hair and get dressed.
“Explain...” she answered, confused, peeking her head into the bathroom, her brow arched at me.
“I asked questions... he was very... cryptic...” I replied, voicing my annoyance.
“Where does he live?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Around...” I said, smirking. She raised her brow at me and looked at me through the mirror in confusion.
“Around?” she questioned.
“That was his answer... Oh... but I did find out he had three brothers.... and two parents...” I responded, only causing her brow to arch in more confusion.
“Seriously?” she inquired.
“Seriously,” I confirmed. She smiled and shook her head.
“So he truly is a mystery... so are you gonna see him again?” she asked, smiling a bit brighter.
“I don’t see why I should.. I mean god... he won’t tell me much...” I said, shrugging, “But my problem is I’m drawn to him.. his mystery, his good looks... I just.. I NEED to see him again.” She sighed as the images of his smile and those damn sunglasses filled my mind.
“Oh my god.. you got it bad...” she said, holding her hands over her heart, ‘It’s like a real live fairy tale....”
“Far from it....” I said, “He’s no prince charming.... He seems more like an awaiting villain, trying to snare me in his spider web....”
“Mmmm, he can snare me any day...” she breathed, “Ensnare me.. tie me up..... just mmm anything....”
“Hey now.. back off....” I said, “He’s my dangerous stranger....” Just as we started to leave my apartment my phone went off.
“Hello?” I asked, confused.
“Deanna....” Joe’s gentle voice said, full of expectance.
“Hey Joe... I was just talking about you....” I said, smiling over at Wills. Her face perked up.
“What does he want?” she pressed. her hands on my arms. I laughed and brushed her off, turning my attention back to her answer.
“Oh yeah.... what horrible things did you have to say about me?” he asked, with a chuckle.
“Nothing... jus your mysterious ways...” I said, as we stepped up to the bus stop.
“Mysterious?” he asked, “Not me....” I giggled, before the bus pulled up. I stepped on and smiled, seeing him seated in the back of the bus, cell phone to his ear.
“Oh yeah, just in the area huh?” I asked, softly.
“Exactly,” he said, watching me walk up, peering over his sunglasses. We hung up our cells, as Wills sat in the seats ahead of us.
“Deanna...” Joe said, gently, nodding in my direction.
“Joe... what do I owe this pleasure?” I asked, sitting down next to him.
“Pleasure? Hmmm... didn’t know I was so gifted...” he smirked. I heard Wills groan ahead of us and it caused Joe to chuckle.
“Funny.. smart ass....” I said, still facing forward, “So why are you here?”
“Mmmm.. just heading-” he started, with a smirk.
“Up town...” I finished for him, raising a brow at him in return.
“Precisely...” he confirmed. I giggled again, smiling over at him, pushing his hoodie away so I could see his face.
“So..... why did you call?” I asked. He smiled and turned to me, placing his sunglasses atop his dark raven hair.
