Prologue
Moonlight shone brightly, illuminating the dark overgrown forest. A shadow of a young man shuffled along the path. Using his hand as a shield he swiped the branches away. Wines grabbed at his ankles, but that didn’t stop the man from stomping forward. The sharp end pricked into his skin, red fluid dripping freely. He ignored this, venturing deeper into the forest. He was intent on reaching his destination. He looked around twice or thrice scanning his surroundings for any sign of life. His hand firmly grasped the hilt of his sword, ready to pull out at any intruder.
“You came!” a cold voice whispered from behind him.
The man stopped dead on his tracks. Twisting his heel, he came face to face with a worn, old lady wearing old black rugs. He would’ve mistaken her for a hobo if it wasn’t for the ten and three quarter inches wand pointed directly at his face.
“You sound surprised!” he exclaimed looking offended.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” she questioned peering closely to take in his expressions.
Hesitating for a second he whispered “Yes.” his chin quivering the tiniest bit.
“This hasn’t ever been done in the histories of dark magic!” the witch explained trying to convince the man against his actions.
When the man didn’t respond to this, she continued, “I must warn you ,it is an excruciatingly painful procedure.”
The man merely nodded muttering a few incoherent words which sounded like ‘nothing-can-be-compared-to-the-pain-of-a-broken-heart’.
“Split into 7 pieces delivered to 7 different dimensions?” the witch confirmed.
“You know what to do.”
His eyes could be seen glistening due to the well of tears. He abruptly wiped it away with the tip of his sleeve, torn between anger and sadness. He had now planned his own death.
With the swish of a wand, the witch murmured the ancient words which would make anyone tremble with fear. A scream pierced the night air, echoing through all the dimensions. His petrified face, crumbled lifeless. His pale body dropped down at her feet. Long matted hair stuck to his face covering his blue eyes.
“What a waste!” she said looking at him with pity, crawling on the forest floor screaming to make her stop.
He begged, his eyes drooping slowly. He gasped for air his head hitting the ground as blood exploded everywhere. Hesitating for a second, she scolded herself. She couldn't stop, she had signed the contract with blood. Extracting seven equal pieces in her hand, she gave the corpse a last look before twisting her heel and walking away.
Thunder cracked above, making the ground rumble. The whole world shook a little bit, as rain poured freely from above. It seemed even nature was mourning at the death of this handsome man.
Blood sprayed in an array of directions. Drenched in blood, sweat and soil; he used all his power to move his lips. Almost silent he uttered, his last three words.
